The EB-1485Fi turns an ordinary whiteboard or flat wall into a working surface that up to six people can write on at once, using a finger or either of the two supplied Easy Interactive Pens. Calibration is automatic, and hover and right-click behave the way a mouse does, so a facilitator can annotate a live spreadsheet without leaving the board. Mounting and positioning
The EB-1485Fi is designed to be wall mounted directly above the projection surface on an Epson ultra-short-throw arm, with the Touch Unit fitted above the board so its infrared curtain covers the image area. Allow for the 458 x 209.5 x 375 mm body and approximately 9.8 kg when specifying the wall fixing and the backing behind plasterboard. Because the throw ratio is 0.27 to 0.37, the image size is set by how far the mount holds the lens from the wall, so the board position should be fixed before the bracket is drilled.
What it connects to
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs take a room PC, a laptop plate and a video bar or codec, and the HDMI output loops video on to a confidence monitor or a second display. Two D-Sub 15-pin inputs and a composite RCA input cover legacy sources still found in older meeting rooms. Audio arrives on three stereo mini jacks with a separate microphone input, and a stereo mini output feeds a room amplifier if the 8 W + 8 W internal speakers are not enough for the space.
Network, control and wireless
An HDBaseT input carries video, audio, Ethernet and serial control from a rack over a single cable, which keeps the ceiling void tidy on a fitted-out floor.
