Epson EB-E01 Home/Office Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-E01 XGA 3LCD Projector (V11H971052) - Local Warranty
XGA 3LCD Brightness That Holds Up in a Lit Meeting Room
The EB-E01 puts 3,300 lumens of both white and colour light output onto the wall, which is the figure that matters when you cannot draw the blinds in a Singapore office or a classroom with north-facing glass. Epson's 3LCD engine drives red, green and blue through three separate panels at the same time, so colour brightness equals white brightness and a pie chart or a corporate logo keeps its saturation instead of washing grey. Native XGA 1024 x 768 in a 4:3 frame suits slide decks, spreadsheets and document-camera work far better than a widescreen panel does.
A Genuine Budget Workhorse for Training Rooms and Tutorial Centres
This is the entry point of Epson's business range and it is built to be deployed in quantity: a 210 W UHE lamp rated at 6,000 hours in normal mode and 12,000 hours in eco mode, with the air filter on the same 6,000 and 12,000 hour service cycle. For a tuition centre, a community hall or a departmental training room running a few hours a day, that is years of use before a consumable is touched. At roughly 2.4 kg it is light enough to move between rooms on a trolley and small enough to sit on a lectern shelf.
Flexible Placement From 30 Inches to 350 Inches
A 1.44 to 1.95 throw ratio gives a 30-inch image from 0.87 m and scales all the way to a 350-inch image at 10.34 m, so the same model works on a desk in a small tutorial room and on a ceiling bracket in a hall. Digital zoom of 1.00 to 1.35 and horizontal and vertical keystone correction of plus or minus 30 degrees let you square the image up when the projector cannot sit dead centre. High-altitude operation is supported to 3,048 m, which matters for regional deployments rather than for Singapore itself.
Quick to Switch On and Simple to Hand Over
The EB-E01 reaches an image in about six seconds with a 30-second warm-up, and direct power on and off means it can be wired to a room's wall switch or a control system and treated like a light fitting. There is no menu training required for a presenter who just wants to plug in and talk. HDMI, VGA and USB cover the laptops, media players and document cameras already sitting in most meeting rooms, so no adapter hunt is needed before a session starts.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and orientation
The EB-E01 is a front or rear, table or ceiling projector with a compact 302 x 239 x 77 mm body and a 2.4 kg mass, so it suits a standard universal projector ceiling bracket as well as a tabletop or lectern. Horizontal and vertical keystone correction of plus or minus 30 degrees squares the image when the unit is offset from the screen centre line. A 1.44 to 1.95 throw ratio determines the bracket drop: work back from your screen width before you order a pole.
What it connects to
HDMI handles laptops, Windows mini-PCs, Apple adapters, Blu-ray and media players and most room control systems. The VGA input keeps older desktops, legacy visualisers and existing cabling in service, which is the usual reason a school or a training centre picks this model over an HDMI-only unit. A USB port is provided for service and configuration use.
Network and content management
The EB-E01 is a standalone lamp projector: it has no built-in wired or wireless LAN, so it is driven entirely from whatever source is cabled to it. If you need Epson iProjection, Epson Projector Management or wireless screen sharing across a room fleet, look at a networked model such as the EB-FH54 or the EB-L200F instead.
Where it sits in the range
Within the EB-E family the EB-E01 is the 3,300-lumen entry model. The EB-E12 is the newer XGA unit at 3,600 lumens with twin HDMI inputs. Both share the same 4:3 XGA panel and the same compact chassis footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-E01
Is the EB-E01 a Full HD projector?
No. The EB-E01 has a native XGA 1024 x 768 panel in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It accepts higher-resolution signals and scales them down, but the panel itself is XGA. If you need a native 1920 x 1080 image for video or widescreen slides, the EB-FH52 or EB-FH54 are the Full HD options in this range.
How bright is it really, and is that enough for a room with windows?
Epson publishes 3,300 lumens of both white light output and colour light output. Because 3LCD produces both figures equally, colours stay saturated at full brightness rather than dimming when the picture is not white. That is comfortable for a typical meeting room or classroom with blinds partially drawn; for a lobby or an atrium with direct daylight you want a 4,000-lumen-plus laser model.
How long does the lamp last and what does replacement involve?
Epson rates the lamp at 6,000 hours in normal mode and 12,000 hours in eco mode. The air filter is on the same 6,000 and 12,000 hour cycle. At three hours a day that is several years of service before a consumable is due. Lamp and filter are user-replaceable items; SourceIT can quote genuine Epson spares.
Can I put it on the ceiling?
Yes. It supports front, rear, table and ceiling projection and at 2.4 kg it fits a standard universal projector bracket. Set the bracket drop from your screen size using the 1.44 to 1.95 throw ratio, and use the plus or minus 30 degree horizontal and vertical keystone correction to square up if the projector is offset from the screen centre.
Does it have Wi-Fi or network control?
No. The EB-E01 has no built-in wireless LAN and no wired LAN port, so it cannot be monitored over the network or used with Epson iProjection wireless sharing. It is driven from a cabled HDMI or VGA source. Choose the EB-FH54 if built-in wireless is a requirement.
What is the difference between the EB-E01 and the EB-E12?
Both are XGA 1024 x 768 4:3 lamp projectors in the same compact chassis. The EB-E12 is the newer model: 3,600 lumens rather than 3,300, and two HDMI inputs. The EB-E01 retains a VGA input, which the EB-E12 does not have — so if you still run legacy VGA cabling or an older visualiser, the EB-E01 is the one that plugs straight in.
What does the 'E' in EB-E01 mean?
In Epson's business naming, EB is the projector line, E marks the entry-level lamp series, and the digits identify the generation. W models are WXGA widescreen, X models are XGA, FH models are Full HD, and an L prefix on the number (as in EB-L200F) indicates a laser light source rather than a lamp.
What warranty and paperwork do I get from SourceIT?
Every unit is supplied by SourceIT with a three-year Singapore local warranty and a full GST invoice, so the projector can go straight onto your company's asset register and be serviced locally without shipping it overseas.
