Yealink Microsoft Teams Rooms Systems Guide Singapore

Yealink sells two kinds of Microsoft Teams Rooms system in Singapore: the Yealink MeetingBar A10, A25, A40 and A50, which run Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android inside the bar itself, and the Yealink MVC S40, S50, S60, S80, S90 and S98 kits, which run Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows on a Yealink MCore mini PC with an MTouch console and a separate camera. The short answer: a MeetingBar with a CTP touch console covers huddle rooms up to a 16-seat meeting room with one appliance; an MVC S-series kit is the route for boardrooms, multi-camera rooms and IT teams that want the Windows feature set. This guide explains what each kit contains, which room size each one is built for, what the Teams Rooms licence costs you on top, and how SourceIT quotes them. Every room system here is price on request, quoted per room configuration.

Teams Rooms on Android or Teams Rooms on Windows: which Yealink platform?

Microsoft runs two certified platforms and Yealink builds for both. Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android is an appliance: the Teams Rooms app runs on Android 13 inside the MeetingBar, with a CTP18 or CTP25 touch console on the table. There is no PC to patch, one Cat5e cable powers the console, and Microsoft's Teams Rooms on Android certified-device list carries every current MeetingBar and MeetingBoard with a certification end date of 15 August 2028. Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows runs the Teams Rooms app on a Windows mini PC, the Yealink MCore 4, with an 11.6-inch MTouch Plus console and whichever camera the kit specifies. Microsoft's Teams Rooms certified-hardware list names the MVC S40-C5U, S50-C5U, S80-C5U, S90-C5U and S98-C5U kits (Core Ultra 5, 16 GB, 256 GB) as certified Windows systems. Windows is where Microsoft keeps features such as breakout-room participation and spatial audio, which our best mini PC for Microsoft Teams Rooms post compares line by line. In the Singapore rooms we quote, most under twelve seats go Android because there is less to manage; rooms with a second camera, ceiling microphones or a DSP go Windows.

What is inside a MeetingBar Teams Rooms on Android kit?

A MeetingBar room is two boxes: the video bar and a touch console. The MeetingBar A10 is the entry point, a 4K-sensor bar with a 120° field of view, 4.5 m microphone pickup and a 5 W speaker for one to five people, certified by Microsoft for a 4.5 m by 4.5 m room; SourceIT lists it alone or as the MeetingBar A10 with CTP18 bundle. The MeetingBar A25 uses three 8 MP cameras including a 151° horizontal ultra-wide lens, so a focus room where people sit against the screen still gets everyone in frame; it ships in the MeetingBar A25 with CTP25 bundle. The MeetingBar A40 steps up to two 48 MP cameras, 6 m pickup, 2 x 10 W stereo speakers, dual 4K output and two expansion microphones, sold as the MeetingBar A40 with CTP25 bundle. The MeetingBar A50 is the top Android appliance: three 50 MP cameras, a 16-microphone array with 10 m pickup, four speakers, dual HDMI out and ceiling-microphone support, which is why Microsoft certifies it for a 4.5 m by 8.5 m room; see the MeetingBar A50 with CTP25 bundle. All four run Android 13 with Microsoft MDEP support and are managed from the Teams Admin Center; our MeetingBar A10 vs A25 vs A40 vs A50 comparison goes deeper.

What is inside an MVC S-series Teams Rooms on Windows kit?

Every current MVC S kit shares the same compute and console. The Yealink MCore 4 is a mini PC with an Intel Core Ultra 5, a 34 TOPS NPU, 16 GB DDR5 and a 256 GB SSD, three HDMI outputs with CEC, HDMI-in for 4K content sharing, four USB 3.0 ports and an RJ45 port that powers the MTouch Plus 11.6-inch touch console over one Cat5e cable, up to 40 m. A RoomSensor is in each box. The camera is what changes. The MVC S40 uses the SmartVision 40 bar for small to medium rooms. The MVC S50 puts the MeetingBar A50 into USB mode as the camera and audio for a medium to large room. The MVC S60 sits a 360° SmartVision 60 camera in the centre of the table (available to order). The MVC S80 is the single-camera large-room kit built on the SmartVision 80, a quad-lens 4K PTZ camera with 20x optical zoom and presenter tracking to 20 m. The MVC S90 ships two UVC86 dual-eye cameras, an AVHub and the MVC-BYOD-Extender for boardrooms and training rooms, and the MVC S98 ships three SmartVision 80 cameras, an AVHub and an RCH40 E2 PoE+ switch for U-shaped and long-table boardrooms where MCST 2.0 switches between up to four cameras. If you already own a camera, the MCoreKit-C5U-MS base kit gives you the certified MCore 4 and MTouch Plus alone. Read MVC S40 vs S90 for the two ends of the range side by side.

Which Yealink Teams Rooms system for which room size?

Huddle rooms (up to 4): MeetingBar A10 with CTP18, or the A25 if the table is right against the display and you need the 151° lens. Small rooms (4-6): MeetingBar A40 with CTP25; the MVC S40 is the Windows equivalent. Medium rooms (6-12): MeetingBar A50 with CTP25 on Android, or MVC S50 on Windows; add one or two expansion microphones once the table passes about 4 m, and plan dual displays. Large rooms (12-20): MVC S80, with VCM35 or VCM36-W table microphones or a CM50 ceiling microphone chosen for the table layout. Boardrooms (20+), training rooms and divisible rooms: MVC S90 or S98 with ceiling microphones, the AP08 Dante DSP and CS10-D loudspeakers. Our video conferencing system by room size guide walks the same ladder with pickup-range and field-of-view reasoning, and our Yealink Zoom Rooms ZVC kits guide maps the identical hardware onto Zoom.

Do I need a Teams Rooms Pro licence for a Yealink system?

Every Teams Rooms system, Android or Windows, needs a room licence from Microsoft that is never included in the hardware. Microsoft currently sells two: Microsoft Teams Rooms Basic is provided at no additional cost with a certified Teams Rooms system, covers scheduling, joining, content sharing and whiteboarding, is limited to 25 licences per organisation and cannot license a Teams panel. Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro adds the enhanced in-room experiences, including intelligent audio and video, front row and dual-screen support, plus remote device management, conditional access and device analytics, has no cap and also licenses Teams panels such as the RoomPanel. The older Teams Rooms Standard and Premium licences were merged into Pro. In practice, a MeetingBar A50 or any MVC kit driving two displays and expansion microphones is a Pro room; a single-display A10 huddle room can sit on Basic until you pass 25 rooms. SourceIT can quote the licence with the hardware or you can procure it through your existing Microsoft agreement.

What else goes into a Yealink Teams Room?

Beyond the kit you need one or two front-of-room displays (the Yealink MeetingDisplay screens are built for MTR systems), a mount such as the VB-TVMount-01 for the A25, A40, A50 and SmartVision 40, a wired network drop, and for a Windows kit a wireless presentation pod if you want cable-free sharing. The WPP30 wireless presentation pod is S$515.00, the RoomSensor is S$105.00 if you need extras, and the MVC-BYOD-Extender at S$475.00 lets a visitor run Zoom or Webex from a laptop through the room's camera and microphones. A RoomPanel E2 scheduling panel outside the door is price on request. Yealink's standard warranty applies; confirm the term for your SKU when requesting a quote.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Yealink MeetingBar Microsoft Teams certified? Yes. Microsoft's Teams Rooms on Android certified-device list includes the MeetingBar A10, A25, A40 and A50, the CTP18 and CTP25 consoles and the MeetingBoard Pro, all on Android 13 with certification running to 15 August 2028.

Which Yealink MVC kits are certified for Teams Rooms on Windows? Microsoft's certified-hardware list names the MVC S40-C5U, S50-C5U, S80-C5U, S90-C5U and S98-C5U kits with the MCore 4 (Core Ultra 5, 16 GB, 256 GB), as well as the MCoreKit-C5U base kit.

What is the difference between MVC S50 and MeetingBar A50? Same bar. The A50 runs Teams Rooms on Android by itself; in the MVC S50 the A50 works in USB mode as the camera and audio for an MCore 4 running Teams Rooms on Windows.

How many people can a MeetingBar A50 cover? Yealink rates it for up to 16 people with 10 m microphone pickup, and Microsoft certifies it for a 4.5 m by 8.5 m room. Beyond that, add expansion or ceiling microphones or move to an MVC S80.

Is the Teams Rooms licence included? No. Teams Rooms Basic is free for up to 25 certified systems per organisation; Teams Rooms Pro is the paid licence with intelligent audio and video, dual-screen support and remote management.

Can a Yealink Teams Room join a Zoom meeting? The hardware can. Every MeetingBar has a wired BYOD mode over USB-C, and an MVC kit with the MVC-BYOD-Extender lets a laptop run Zoom or Webex through the room's camera and microphones; native cross-platform join depends on firmware, so confirm with us.

How much does a Yealink Teams Rooms system cost in Singapore? Every MeetingBar and MVC kit is price on request and quoted per room configuration; accessories such as the WPP30 and MVC-BYOD-Extender carry listed prices.
