Yealink RoomSensor — Occupancy and Environment Sensing Without Cables
The Yealink RoomSensor is a compact, wireless multifunctional sensor that makes meeting rooms intelligent. Passive infrared (PIR) detection across a 120° field senses when people enter the room, while built-in sensing also tracks temperature, humidity and ambient light — giving facilities teams in Singapore real occupancy and environment data for every room, with zero cabling.
Automatic Room Release with RoomPanel
Linked with a Yealink RoomPanel over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the RoomSensor enables automatic check-in, room release and re-reservation: ghost bookings free themselves up when nobody shows, and rooms in use stay protected. Bluetooth 5.0 with Bluetooth mesh lets multiple sensors network together for larger spaces and IoT linkage scenarios such as lighting control.
Four-Year Battery, Magnetic Mounting
A replaceable lithium battery delivers up to four years of operation, and the magnetic mounting design makes installation and battery swaps tool-free. The sensing lens adjusts ±20° to fine-tune coverage for each room layout, and the whole estate is managed through Yealink's cloud device management.

What is the difference between the RoomSensor and RoomSensor Pro?
The RoomSensor uses PIR to detect whether a room is occupied and runs for up to four years on a replaceable battery. The RoomSensor Pro adds AI-based people counting (how many people, not just presence) with up to 8 detection zones, and is powered by DC or PoE.
Does it need any cabling?
No — it is fully wireless, communicating over Bluetooth 5.0/BLE and running on a replaceable lithium battery rated for up to four years.
How does automatic room release work?
The sensor pairs with a Yealink RoomPanel over BLE; if no occupancy is detected for a booked meeting, the panel can release the room automatically so others can book it.
What does it measure besides occupancy?
