The RUCKUS H550 is a wall-mounted dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) 2x2:2 access point with a built-in four-port gigabit switch, dual-concurrent BLE and Zigbee, and a USB port. RUCKUS rates it at up to 1774 Mbps (802.11ax) and up to 512 clients per AP, and designed it for hotel guest rooms, student residence halls, apartments and other MDUs.
Controller-Managed Edition
This is the standard edition (part number prefix 901-) for networks run from a RUCKUS SmartZone or ZoneDirector controller, or from cloud management. For controller-less Wi-Fi, the Unleashed part 9U1-H550-WW00 is the one to order.
802.3af PoE Out (WW00)
This -WW00 version has four 1GbE LAN ports, one of which supplies 802.3af PoE out; the -WW02 version supplies 48 V passive PoE out instead. Wire in IP phones, IPTV boxes and other in-room devices from the same wall plate.
Fits a Standard Wall Box
The H550 installs over an electrical wall box or a standard US or EU single-gang wall jack, with an optional bracket for surface mounting. It takes an 802.3bt (Class 5) PoE uplink.
Supplied in Singapore with Local Warranty
RUCKUS sells the H550 with a limited lifetime warranty. SourceIT supplies it locally in Singapore with a GST invoice. Email sales@sourceit.com.sg with your room count for a bill of materials.

Compatibility & Software Support
Management
This is the standard (non-Unleashed) edition, part number prefix 901-, for networks run from a RUCKUS controller or management platform. The RUCKUS H550 data sheet lists SmartZone, ZoneDirector, Unleashed, standalone and cloud management for the H550 hardware. If you want controller-less Wi-Fi with no controller or subscription, order the Unleashed part 9U1-H550-WW00 instead.
Mixing with Other RUCKUS Gear
SmartMesh gives self-healing mesh links, and the H550 works with Cloudpath, the SPoT location engine, RUCKUS Analytics and SmartCell Insight. An 802.3bt-capable PoE switch port, such as a RUCKUS ICX, is needed to enable PoE out.
What It Is Suited To
RUCKUS positions the H550 for converged services in hospitality and residential locations — hotel guest rooms, student residence halls, apartments and other MDU structures — where phones, set-top boxes and IoT devices share the wall plate with Wi-Fi.
