40 Multi-Gig PoE++ Ports with 100G Uplinks
The NETGEAR M4350-40X4C is a 44-port, full-width 1U fully managed switch with forty 1G/2.5G/5G/10G RJ-45 ports and four 40G/100G QSFP28 ports. A 1.6 Tbps switching fabric, 1190.4 Mpps throughput and a 256Mb packet buffer suit it to AV-over-IP and high-density 10G edge deployments.
Up to 90W per Port and Expandable PoE Budget
Every copper port supports IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ at up to 90W. The internal 750W power supply provides a 196W PoE budget, and the modular slot accepts an APS600Wv3, APS1200Wv2 or APS2000Wv2 module for 1+1 redundancy or a PoE budget of up to 1,676W.
Built for AV over IP
NETGEAR IGMP Plus enhanced multicast, the AV-optimised web interface with pre-configured AV profiles and the NETGEAR Engage Controller simplify multicast setup. The switch supports AVB, SMPTE ST 2110, jumbo frames up to 12KB, and static, policy-based and dynamic routing.
Virtual Chassis Stacking
The QSFP28 ports can be used for Virtual Chassis stacking at 100G with non-stop forwarding and hitless failover, so several switches are managed as one.

Power Supplies
The modular power slot accepts the following NETGEAR power supplies: APS600Wv3 (APS600W-300NES), APS1200Wv2 (APS1200W-200NES) and APS2000Wv2 (APS2000W-200NES). With the internal 750W supply, a modular PSU provides 1+1 redundancy or extends the PoE budget (EPS). With 220VAC input, the PoE budget rises from 196W to 556W (APS600Wv3), 1,036W (APS1200Wv2) or 1,676W (APS2000Wv2).
Ports
The 40 RJ-45 ports autonegotiate at 1G, 2.5G, 5G or 10G and deliver IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ at up to 90W per port. The four QSFP28 ports take 40G QSFP+ or 100G QSFP28 modules; in stacking mode they run at 100G.
Management
Web browser GUI (HTTPS) including the NETGEAR AV user interface with pre-configured AV profiles, plus CLI via Telnet and SSH, SNMP and MIBs. A USB Type-C console port on the front and a 1G out-of-band management port on the rear are provided.
NETGEAR Engage Controller
The switch can be managed with the NETGEAR Engage Controller for AV-over-IP deployments.
AV Protocols
NETGEAR IGMP Plus enhanced multicast and AVB, up to 500 AVB streams per switch (AVB is not available in stacking mode). NETGEAR lists the M4350-40X4C among the M4350 models that support SMPTE ST 2110 for professional broadcast applications.
