Tri-Radio Wi-Fi 6E: 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz at the Same Time
The HPE Aruba Networking AP-635 (RW) is a tri-radio 2x2 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E campus access point with a dedicated radio for each band. HPE rates it at up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz and 2.4 Gbps on 6 GHz, for a maximum aggregate data rate of 3.9 Gbps.
The 6 GHz radio gives Wi-Fi 6E clients access to up to seven 160 MHz channels, while legacy devices continue on 2.4 and 5 GHz.
Ultra Tri-Band Filtering
HPE's Ultra Tri-Band (UTB) filtering allows flexible 5 GHz and 6 GHz channel selection, letting both upper bands operate without interfering with each other.
Dual 2.5GbE Ports with Link Aggregation
Two HPE Smart Rate RJ-45 ports auto-negotiate 100/1000/2500BASE-T and support LACP link aggregation for redundancy, with hitless failover for Ethernet and power.
GPS, IoT and Flexible Deployment
Built-in GPS receivers let APs self-locate, and the integrated Bluetooth 5 and 802.15.4 (Zigbee) radio supports IoT use cases. HPE lists cloud, controller or controllerless operation modes, managed from HPE Aruba Networking Central.
Supplied in Singapore with a Limited Lifetime Warranty

Management Options
Managed through HPE Aruba Networking Central (cloud or on-premises), or with an HPE Aruba Networking gateway/controller. HPE lists minimum software as InstantOS / AOS 8.9.0.0 and AOS 10.4.0.0. Ask us about Central licensing for your deployment.
PoE Switch Requirement
Use an 802.3bt (class 5) port for unrestricted operation; 802.3at (class 4) is the minimum. 802.3af is not supported. Choose multi-gigabit (2.5GbE) switch ports to use the full uplink speed.

What is the difference between the AP-635 and AP-615?
The AP-635 has three radios, so 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz run at the same time (up to 3.9 Gbps aggregate), plus two 2.5GbE ports. The AP-615 has two radios that use any two of the three bands.
What PoE does it need?
802.3at (class 4) minimum; 802.3bt (class 5) or DC for unrestricted operation. 802.3af is not supported.
Can I use both Ethernet ports?
Yes. Both are 2.5GbE Smart Rate ports and support LACP link aggregation for redundancy.
Does it need a controller?
No. HPE lists cloud, controller or controllerless operation, managed from HPE Aruba Networking Central.
What warranty do I get?
