Epson EB-770Fi Full HD 1080P 3LCD Laser Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-770Fi Full HD 1080P 3LCD Interactive Laser Projector (V11HA78080) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
A Full HD Interactive Canvas up to 100 Inches — 75% More Space Than a 75-Inch Panel
The EB-770Fi turns a wall or whiteboard into a native 1920 x 1080 interactive surface up to 100 inches diagonal, which Epson rates at up to 75 percent more interactive space than a 75-inch flat panel and at a far lower cost per square inch. For a Singapore classroom, tutorial room, design studio or hybrid meeting room, that is room for two people to work at the board at once, or for a live annotation canvas to sit alongside a shared document. Pen and finger touch working are the reason this model exists.
Ultra-Wide 21:9 and 16:6 Modes With Split Screen for Hybrid Working
Beyond standard 16:9, the EB-770Fi supports ultra-wide 21:9 and 16:6 display modes with split screen, so content from a PC or a document camera can sit beside an interactive whiteboard canvas rather than replacing it. In a hybrid meeting that means a video call on one side and the working canvas on the other; in a classroom it means the worked example stays visible while the teacher annotates alongside. Quick Corner correction, applied automatically or manually, keeps the canvas square to the board after installation.
4,100 Lumens of Colour and White Brightness With Over 5,000,000:1 Contrast
Epson rates the EB-770Fi at 4,100 lumens of white light output and 4,100 lumens of colour light output in Normal mode, falling to 2,800 lumens in Extended mode, with a dynamic contrast ratio of over 5,000,000:1. Epson's three-chip 3LCD design produces the same brightness for colour as for white, so a marked-up drawing or a coloured diagram keeps its saturation under classroom lighting instead of greying out. Noise Reduction, Super-Resolution and Detail Enhancement clean up lower-resolution material before it reaches the wall.
Twenty Thousand Hours of Laser and Three HDMI Inputs for a Busy Room
The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation, so there are no lamps to purchase or replace. Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs, two computer inputs, a composite input and a computer output let a room PC, a visiting laptop, a document camera and a confidence display coexist without a switcher. Built-in wireless LAN with Epson iProjection covers cable-free presenting, and a 16 W speaker with a dedicated microphone input handles room audio without a separate amplifier.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and placement
The EB-770Fi is wall mounted directly above the interactive surface on an Epson ultra-short throw mount. The body measures 395 x 356 x 133 mm excluding feet and weighs approximately 6 kg, so the mount and wall fixings must be specified accordingly — plasterboard alone is not sufficient without backing. Interactive working needs a flat, rigid, matte surface: a proper projection whiteboard or a coated projection wall tracks far better than a fabric screen, which flexes under a pen, and a gloss board will hot-spot under an ultra-short throw lens.
Installing the Finger Touch Unit
Finger touch is delivered by the Epson Finger Touch Unit, which mounts above the projection area and plugs into the projector's Finger Touch Unit Control port (Mini DIN 8-pin); the Interactive Sync input handles synchronisation. Alignment between the touch unit and the projected image is critical, so allow commissioning time for calibration and keep the surface flat afterwards. The official Epson installation video at the bottom of this page covers the procedure for the EB-770Fi and EB-760Wi.
What it connects to
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs cover a room PC, a visiting laptop and a document camera or video bar at the same time. Two computer inputs and a composite input keep legacy visualisers usable, and the computer output can drive a confidence monitor. Two USB Type B ports support USB Display, firmware updates and OSD copying; two USB Type A ports handle PC Free playback, with the rear port also able to supply 5 V / 2 A to a streaming stick. Three audio inputs, an audio output and a microphone input feed the 16 W speaker.
Network, wireless and management
Wired LAN over RJ45 supports centralised monitoring, scheduling and firmware management across an estate. Wireless LAN is built in, with an optional module also supported. Free Epson iProjection software lets staff and students present over the network from Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs. Split screen, combined with the ultra-wide 21:9 and 16:6 modes, is what makes this model suit hybrid meetings where a call and a working canvas need to share the wall. RS-232C is available for control systems.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-770Fi
What is the difference between the EB-770Fi and the EB-770F?
The "i" is the entire difference and it decides which one you should buy. The EB-770Fi on this page is the interactive model: it carries the Interactive Sync input and the Finger Touch Unit Control port, supports pen working and the Epson Finger Touch Unit, and is specified by Epson for an interactive image up to 100 inches. The EB-770F has neither of those ports, is a display only, and projects up to 150 inches. If people will write on the image, this is the model you need.
Is the Finger Touch Unit included?
Pen working is the projector's own function. Direct finger touch on the projected surface is delivered by the Epson Finger Touch Unit, which Epson supplies separately from the projector in most bundles. Because bundles differ by part number and territory, ask us to confirm exactly what is in the box for the unit we are quoting before you order, and we will quote the Finger Touch Unit alongside it if your room needs touch as well as pen.
How does it compare with the EB-760Wi?
Same chassis, same 4,100 lumens, same interactive approach, same 100-inch interactive maximum. The difference is resolution and aspect flexibility: the EB-760Wi is native WXGA at 1280 x 800, while the EB-770Fi is native Full HD at 1920 x 1080 and additionally supports ultra-wide 21:9 and 16:6 display modes. Choose the EB-770Fi for detailed content and hybrid meeting layouts.
What are the 21:9 and 16:6 modes actually for?
They let the projector present an ultra-wide image so two things can share the wall properly rather than one shrinking the other. In a hybrid meeting that is typically a video call on one side and the interactive canvas on the other; in a classroom it is a worked example or a document camera feed next to a live annotation area. Split screen handles the layout, and the whole width remains interactive.
Is there a lamp to replace?
No. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation. The only routine service item is the electrostatic air filter, with a maintenance cycle of 12,000 hours in Normal mode and 20,000 hours in Extended mode.
What sort of wall or board does it need?
A flat, rigid, matte surface. A proper projection whiteboard or a coated projection wall gives the best pen and touch tracking. A fabric or pull-down screen flexes under a pen and will frustrate users, and a gloss whiteboard will hot-spot under an ultra-short throw lens. The projector weighs approximately 6 kg, so the mount and wall fixings need to be specified to suit.
Can it replace a 75-inch interactive flat panel?
In most rooms, yes. At up to 100 inches the EB-770Fi provides up to 75 percent more interactive area than a 75-inch panel at the same Full HD resolution, at a much lower cost per square inch, with no heavy glass to mount and nothing to recycle at end of life. It also avoids the panel refresh cycle, since the laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours.
What warranty and paperwork comes with it?
Every unit sold by SourceIT carries local Singapore warranty and is invoiced with a GST invoice. Support and warranty claims are handled locally rather than through an overseas grey-market channel.
