Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and positioning
The EB-2000 series is built for permanent installation as much as for a trolley. The body measures 377 x 110 x 291 mm excluding feet, and Epson publishes ceiling pipe options ELPFP13 (668 – 918 mm) and ELPFP14 (918 – 1,168 mm) for dropping it below a slab. Vertical and horizontal keystone correction of ±30 degrees, automatic keystone correction and Quick Corner between them cover an off-axis mount, so the projector does not have to sit on the screen centre line in a room where services already occupy the ceiling.
What it connects to
Two HDMI inputs, one of them MHL-capable, sit alongside two D-Sub 15-pin computer inputs, a composite video input and a D-Sub monitor output. Audio arrives on an RCA pair and two stereo mini jacks with a stereo mini output for a room amplifier. A USB Type A port drives an Epson document camera or reads a memory stick for computer-free presenting, and the three-in-one USB Display connection sends picture, audio and control over a single USB cable from a laptop.
HDBaseT and control system integration
The HDBaseT input carries video, audio, Ethernet and serial control over one Cat 5e or Cat 6 run, which is the tidiest way to reach a ceiling position from a rack. RS-232C and a USB Type B control port are also provided. Epson's network projection and management tools, along with message broadcasting, run over the RJ45 connection so lamp hours and power state can be monitored centrally.
Wireless and screen mirroring
Wireless connectivity is included on this model, as are Wi-Di and Miracast certification, so no optional wireless unit is needed for cable-free presenting. That is the main practical difference from the EB-2155W and the EB-2065, where the wireless unit is an optional extra.
Consumables and security
The projector takes the ELPLP95 replacement lamp, rated at 5,000 hours in Normal mode and 10,000 hours in Eco.
