Epson EB-770F Full HD 1080P 3LCD Laser Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-770F Full HD 1080P 3LCD Laser Projector (V11HA79080) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
A Full HD Display up to 150 Inches — 2.4 Times the Area of a 75-Inch Flat Panel
The EB-770F projects a native 1920 x 1080 image up to 150 inches diagonal from an ultra-short throw position just above the wall, which Epson rates at 2.4 times the area of a 75-inch flat panel. In a Singapore classroom, lecture room or training centre that is the difference between the back row reading a spreadsheet and the back row guessing at it. Because the image is projected rather than panelled, the cost per square inch is far lower, there is no heavy glass to structurally support, and nothing to dispose of as electronic waste at end of life.
4,100 Lumens With Over 5,000,000:1 Contrast for Lights-On Rooms
Epson rates the EB-770F at 4,100 lumens of white light output and 4,100 lumens of colour light output in Normal mode, dropping to 2,800 lumens in Extended mode, with a dynamic contrast ratio of over 5,000,000:1. The equal white and colour figure is the point of Epson's three-chip 3LCD design: coloured charts, marked-up drawings and branded slides keep their saturation at full output rather than dulling. Noise Reduction, Super-Resolution and Detail Enhancement processing sharpen lower-resolution source material before it reaches the screen.
Twenty Thousand Hours of Laser, No Lamps to Buy
The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation, so there are no lamps to purchase or replace across the life of the installation and no mid-term brightness cliff. The projector shows the Epson logo in under ten seconds, reaches a displayed image within about five seconds using quick start-up, and shuts down instantly with no cool-down wait — which matters when a room turns over between periods. The electrostatic air filter runs to a 12,000 hour cycle in Normal mode and 20,000 hours in Extended mode.
Three HDMI Inputs and Four-Screen Wireless Casting for Shared Rooms
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs, two computer inputs, a composite input and a computer output let a room PC, a visiting laptop, a document camera and a confidence display coexist without a switcher. Built-in wireless LAN with free Epson iProjection software allows staff and students to cast from Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs, and split screen lets up to four screens be displayed at once. A 16 W speaker with a dedicated microphone input covers room audio without a separate amplifier.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and placement
The EB-770F is designed for a wall mount directly above the projection surface on an Epson ultra-short throw mount, which frees the ceiling void and keeps cable runs short. The body measures 395 x 356 x 133 mm excluding feet and weighs approximately 5.9 kg, so specify the mount and wall fixings to suit. Ultra-short throw geometry exaggerates any ripple in the surface, so a flat matte projection wall or a rigid matte board will look far better than a fabric pull-down screen, and a gloss whiteboard will hot-spot.
What it connects to
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs take a room PC, a visiting laptop and a document camera or media player at the same time. Two computer inputs and a composite input keep legacy visualisers and older classroom equipment in service, and the computer output can feed a confidence monitor. Two USB Type A ports support PC Free playback, firmware updates and OSD copying, with the rear port also able to supply 5 V / 2 A to a streaming stick. One USB Type B port supports USB Display from a laptop over a single cable.
Network, wireless and management
Wired LAN over RJ45 supports centralised monitoring, scheduling and firmware management across a fleet, which is how most schools and corporate AV teams run an estate. Wireless LAN is built in, with an optional module also supported. Free Epson iProjection software lets staff and students present over the network from Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs, and split screen can display up to four screens at once. RS-232C is available where the room is driven by a control system.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-770F
What is the difference between the EB-770F and the EB-770Fi?
This is the distinction that catches people out, so read it carefully. The EB-770F on this page is not interactive — it is a display only, and its connector panel carries no Interactive Sync or Finger Touch Unit Control port. The EB-770Fi is the interactive model: it adds those ports, supports pen working and the Epson Finger Touch Unit, and is specified by Epson for an interactive image up to 100 inches. If anyone will write on the image, you need the EB-770Fi.
Can I add pens or a touch unit to the EB-770F later?
No. The EB-770F does not have the Interactive Sync input or the Finger Touch Unit Control port that interactive working depends on, so it cannot be upgraded in the field. Specify the EB-770Fi at the outset if there is any chance the room will need annotation. We are happy to quote both models side by side so the cost difference is clear before you commit.
How does it compare with the EB-760W?
Same chassis, same 4,100 lumens, same over 5,000,000:1 contrast, same 150-inch maximum image. The difference is resolution: the EB-760W is native WXGA at 1280 x 800, while the EB-770F is native Full HD at 1920 x 1080. Choose the EB-770F for detailed material — spreadsheets, drawings, dense documents and video — and the EB-760W where budget matters more than pixel count.
Is there a lamp to replace?
No. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation, so there is no lamp to buy or change. The only routine service item is the electrostatic air filter, with a maintenance cycle of 12,000 hours in Normal mode and 20,000 hours in Extended mode.
Will it replace a 75-inch flat panel?
Comfortably. At up to 150 inches the EB-770F covers 2.4 times the area of a 75-inch panel at the same Full HD resolution, at a far lower cost per square inch, with no heavy glass to mount and nothing to recycle at end of life. What a flat panel still gives you out of the box is touch — which is why Epson offers the EB-770Fi for rooms that need it.
How many people can present wirelessly?
Wireless LAN is built in, and free Epson iProjection software lets staff and students present over the network from Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs. Split screen allows up to four screens to be displayed at the same time, which suits group work and comparison exercises.
Can it be used as the room's audio system?
For a normal classroom or meeting room, yes. There is a 16 W mono speaker, three audio inputs, an audio output and a dedicated microphone input, so a presenter's handheld or lapel microphone can be reinforced through the projector without a separate amplifier. For a hall, use the audio output into a proper room PA.
What warranty and paperwork comes with it?
Every unit sold by SourceIT carries local Singapore warranty and is invoiced with a GST invoice. Support and warranty claims are handled locally rather than through an overseas grey-market channel.
