Epson EB-760W WXGA 3LCD Laser Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-760W WXGA 3LCD Laser Projector (V11HA81080) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
A 150-Inch Classroom Display for a Fraction of the Cost per Square Inch of a Flat Panel
The EB-760W projects a 16:10 WXGA image up to 150 inches diagonal — more than three times the area of a 75-inch flat panel — from an ultra-short throw position just above the wall. For a Singapore classroom, lecture room or training centre, that is the difference between students at the back squinting at a screen and everyone reading the same slide comfortably. Because the display is projected rather than panelled, the cost per square inch is far lower, and there is no heavy glass panel to structurally support or eventually dispose of.
4,100 Lumens and Over 5,000,000:1 Contrast for Lights-On Teaching
Epson rates the EB-760W at 4,100 lumens of white brightness and 4,100 lumens of colour brightness, with a dynamic contrast ratio of over 5,000,000:1. The equal white and colour figure is the point of 3LCD: a coloured chart, a highlighted formula or a branded slide holds its saturation at full brightness instead of dulling. In practice that means the blinds stay open and the lights stay on. Noise Reduction, Super-Resolution and Detail Enhancement processing sharpen lower-resolution source material before it hits the screen.
Twenty Thousand Hours of Laser With No Lamp Budget
The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation, so there are no lamps to purchase or replace across the life of the installation. The projector shows the Epson logo in under ten seconds, displays an image within about five seconds of quick start-up, and shuts down instantly with no cool-down wait — useful when rooms turn over between periods. The electrostatic air filter runs to a 12,000 hour cycle in Normal mode and 20,000 hours in Extended mode, and fan noise falls to 27 dB in Eco.
Three HDMI Inputs, Wireless Casting and Fifty-Device Classroom Control
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs, two computer inputs, a composite input and a monitor output cover a room PC, a visiting laptop, a document camera and a confidence display at once. Built-in wireless LAN plus free Epson iProjection software lets up to 50 devices connect — Chromebooks, iOS, Android, Mac and Windows — with four casting at a time and a moderator function so the teacher decides what is shown. Wired LAN, RS-232C and a microphone input through the 16 W speaker complete a room-ready package.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and placement
The EB-760W is designed to be wall mounted directly above the projection surface on an Epson ultra-short throw mount, which keeps the ceiling void free and shortens cable runs. The body measures 395 x 356 x 133 mm excluding feet, so allow for the mount arm plus that depth when planning wall clearance. Keep the projection surface flat and matte: an ultra-short throw lens exaggerates any ripple in a pull-down screen and will hot-spot on a gloss whiteboard. Leave the air intake and electrostatic filter reachable for servicing.
What it connects to
Three HDCP 2.3 HDMI inputs take a room PC, a visiting laptop and a document camera or media player simultaneously. Two computer inputs and a composite input keep older visualisers and legacy classroom equipment alive, and the computer output can drive a confidence monitor. Three audio inputs, an audio output and a dedicated microphone input feed the 16 W speaker, so a lapel or handheld microphone can be reinforced without a separate amplifier. Two USB Type A ports support PC Free playback, firmware updates and OSD copying, with the rear port also able to supply 5 V / 2 A to a streaming stick.
Network, wireless and classroom control
Wired LAN over RJ45 supports centralised monitoring, scheduling and firmware management across a fleet. Wireless LAN is built in, with an optional module also supported. Free Epson iProjection software allows up to 50 devices to connect — Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs — with up to four casting at a time and a moderator function that keeps the teacher in control of what is displayed. Split screen lets two sources share the image for side-by-side comparison. RS-232C is available where a control system drives the room.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-760W
What is the difference between the EB-760W and the EB-760Wi?
This is the single most important distinction in this range and it is easy to misread. The EB-760W on this page is not interactive: it is a display only, and it projects up to 150 inches. The EB-760Wi is the interactive model — it is supplied for pen and finger touch working and supports the Epson Finger Touch Unit, and Epson specifies it for an interactive image up to 100 inches. If anyone in the room needs to write on the image, you need the EB-760Wi, not this model.
Can I add interactivity to the EB-760W later?
No. Interactivity is not a field-upgradeable option on this model; it is the defining difference between the EB-760W and the EB-760Wi. If there is any chance the room will need annotation — a classroom, a design review space, a training room — specify the EB-760Wi at the outset. We are happy to quote both side by side.
How bright is it really, and can I leave the lights on?
Epson specifies 4,100 lumens of white light output and 4,100 lumens of colour light output in Normal mode, dropping to 2,800 lumens in Extended mode, with a dynamic contrast ratio of over 5,000,000:1. Because 3LCD produces the same brightness for colour as for white, colour material stays vivid at full output. In a normal classroom or meeting room with the lights on and blinds open, a 4,100 lumen ultra-short throw image at 100 to 150 inches is comfortably readable.
Is there a lamp to replace?
No. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation, so there is no lamp to buy or change. The only routine service item is the electrostatic air filter, with a maintenance cycle of 12,000 hours in Normal mode and 20,000 hours in Extended mode.
How many devices can present wirelessly?
Wireless LAN is built in. Using free Epson iProjection software, up to 50 devices can connect to the projector and up to four can cast at the same time, from Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices, Mac computers and PCs. A moderator function lets the teacher or chair decide which device is displayed, which is what stops a classroom casting session turning into a free-for-all.
Will it replace a 75-inch flat panel?
In most classrooms, yes, and with room to spare. At up to 150 inches the EB-760W covers more than three times the area of a 75-inch panel, at a much lower cost per square inch, with no heavy glass to mount and no panel to dispose of at end of life. What a panel still gives you is touch out of the box — which is exactly why Epson offers the EB-760Wi for rooms that need it.
Can it be used as the room's audio system?
For a normal classroom or meeting room, yes. There is a 16 W mono speaker, three audio inputs, an audio output and a dedicated microphone input, so a presenter's microphone can be reinforced through the projector. For a hall or where music quality matters, use the audio output into a proper room PA.
What warranty and paperwork comes with it?
Every unit sold by SourceIT carries local Singapore warranty and is invoiced with a GST invoice. Support and warranty claims are handled locally rather than through an overseas grey-market channel.
