3000 VA / 2700 W — the Highest Wattage in the 2U Smart-UPS Rack Range
The APC Smart-UPS SMT3000RMI2U delivers 3000 VA and 2700 W of pure sine wave, line-interactive output from 2U of rack space. That 2700 W is 600 W more real power than the Smart-UPS C at the same VA rating, which is why the SMT range is what goes into a serious Singapore server rack rather than a comms cupboard. Transfer to battery takes 4 ms typically and 8 ms at worst — comfortably inside what any ATX or active-PFC power supply will ride through.
AVR Across a Wide 160–286 V Input Window
Singapore runs on 230 V, 50 Hz, and the everyday threat is the sag when a PUB feeder switches or a storm hits, not a full blackout. The SMT3000RMI2U corrects across a 160 to 286 V input window — adjustable from 151 to 302 V — using Automatic Voltage Regulation, which means it holds output steady without discharging the battery. Batteries that are not cycled on every voltage dip last measurably longer in a tropical building.
Eight C13 Outlets, One C19 and Three Jumpers, All Battery-Backed
The outlet complement is eight IEC C13 sockets, one IEC C19 and three IEC jumper cords, every one on battery backup. Note that this is one C19, not two — two C19 outlets belong to the tower builds, and confusing the two is a common ordering error. The unit is fed by an IEC C20 inlet on a 2 m cord, and at 3000 VA a dedicated circuit belongs in the install plan.
SmartSlot for Network Management — Card Sold Separately
This is the non-SmartConnect build. It has no Ethernet port of its own and no bundled network card, but it does have one free SmartSlot: fit an AP9640 or AP9641 Network Management Card 3 and you get web, SNMP and EcoStruxure IT monitoring. Out of the box you have USB and RS-232 serial for host shutdown. If you would rather have cloud monitoring included, the SMT3000RMI2UC is the SmartConnect equivalent.
Rails Included, but Check the 683 mm Depth
Rack mounting support rails are supplied — unlike the Smart-UPS C rack models, which ship brackets only. What you do need to check is depth: at 683 mm this is a full-depth unit and it will not fit a shallow comms cabinet. It weighs 44.28 kg, runs at 55 dBA and dissipates 348 BTU/hr, so it belongs in a ventilated rack rather than an office cupboard. A temperature probe is included in the carton.

Is the output a pure sine wave, and will it drive an active-PFC power supply?
Yes to both. Schneider describes it as a pure sine wave unit, and transfer to battery is 4 ms typical, 8 ms maximum — well inside the hold-up time of any ATX or active-PFC supply. Step-approximated output, common on Back-UPS and Easy UPS models, is what causes active-PFC supplies to drop the load or run hot.
How many C19 outlets does it have?
