APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA RM 230V
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA RM 230V (SRT10KRMXLI) - 2 Years Local Warranty
10 kVA / 10 kW Double-Conversion On-Line Protection in 6U of Rack Space
The APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA RM (SRT10KRMXLI) is the top of the SRT rackmount range: an on-line, double-conversion UPS that rectifies incoming mains to DC and regenerates it as a clean sine wave, so the load runs from the inverter continuously rather than being switched over when the supply fails. Output voltage distortion is rated at less than 2%. At 10 kW this is protecting a full production rack, and on Singapore's 230V / 50Hz supply the everyday risk is not a full blackout but the PUB grid dips and momentary interruptions of the storm season — each one enough to reset a hypervisor host or corrupt a write in flight.
Unity Power Factor: 10,000 VA and a Full 10,000 W of Usable Output
The SRT10KRMXLI delivers 10,000 W from its 10,000 VA rating, so there is no watt derating to design around. Nominal output is 230 V AC single phase, configurable to 220 V or 240 V, at 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz synchronised to mains, rated at 47 A full-load output current, on (6) IEC 60320 C13 and (4) IEC 60320 C19 outlets plus a hard-wire output. Size on watts: total the real power draw of everything you intend to protect and keep it comfortably under 10,000 W.
Single-Phase or Three-Phase Input — Both Hard Wired
The SRT10KRMXLI accepts either a 230 Vac single-phase supply (one 3-wire hardwire, 1P + N + E) or a 380 / 400 Vac three-phase supply (one 5-wire hardwire, 3P + N + E), at 40–70 Hz auto-sensing. The input window is adjustable down to 100–275 V at half load on single phase, or 173–476 V on three phase. Full-load input current is 54 A single phase or 18 A per phase on three phase, with an 80 A breaker specified and 25 mm² / 4 AWG input conductors. There is no plug — book a licensed electrician and confirm the supply with building management before the delivery date.
Scalable Runtime with SRT192RMBP2 Battery Packs
The battery system is four sealed VRLA modules at 96 VDC each, giving a ±192 V split bus referenced to neutral, rated 5 Ah per module, with an 876 W charger, a 1.5-hour typical recharge time and an expected service life of three to five years. The replacement cartridge is the APCRBC140. For longer autonomy the SRT10KRMXLI accepts up to ten SRT192RMBP2 external battery packs. Ambient temperature is the main determinant of battery life in a Singapore comms room, so keep it cool and dry; the unit is rated for 0–40°C at 0–95% non-condensing humidity and up to 3,000 m altitude.
Network Management Card 3 Embedded, Rails Included, Local Singapore Supply
A Network Management Card 3 is embedded from the factory and one SmartSlot remains free, so SNMP, HTTPS and EcoStruxure-ready monitoring are available out of the box — Schneider's Singapore listing includes a one-year Secure Network Management Card subscription — and you can still add an AP9613 Dry Contact I/O card later. Serial, USB, EPO, Universal I/O and console connections are provided. The unit occupies 6U in a 263 mm (H) x 432 mm (W) x 715 mm (D) chassis and ships with the rail kit included; acoustic noise is 55 dBA. Net weight is 111.82 kg, so mount it at the bottom of the cabinet and plan the handling. SourceIT supplies the SRT10KRMXLI from Singapore with a GST invoice and local warranty support.

Compatibility & Runtime
What you can plug in. The SRT10KRMXLI provides (6) IEC 60320 C13 and (4) IEC 60320 C19 outlets, plus a hard-wire output. Output full-load current is 47 A. Total the real power draw (watts) of the equipment you intend to protect and keep it below the 10,000 W rating — runtime falls sharply as load rises.
Runtime depends on load. Runtime is not linear: halving the load more than doubles the time on battery. Internal recharge time is 1.5 hours. Schneider does not publish a runtime table for this model that we are able to cite, so rather than quote a figure we cannot source, ask SourceIT for a runtime calculation against your measured load.
Extended runtime. Connect up to ten SRT192RMBP2 external battery packs on the ±192 V bus. Recharge time increases with each pack added, and each pack has a keyed mating connector that only fits its corresponding UPS — APC does not support third-party packs. The tower equivalent is the SRT192BP2.
Rack fit. Occupies 6U and ships with the rail kit included. Chassis dimensions are 263 mm (H) x 432 mm (W) x 715 mm (D) — check cabinet depth carefully and allow for the cable bend radius behind the unit. At 111.82 kg this is a heavy install: mount it at the very bottom of the cabinet, check the rack's static load rating, and plan the handling before the unit arrives.
Input and circuit — read this before ordering. The SRT10KRMXLI is hard wired, with no input plug: one 3-wire hardwire (1P + N + E) for single phase, or one 5-wire hardwire (3P + N + E) for three phase. Schneider specifies 25 mm² / 4 AWG conductors and an 80 A breaker; dual-feed wiring is supported. A licensed electrician must terminate it onto a suitably rated dedicated circuit — confirm the supply arrangement and breaker rating with your electrician and building management before delivery. This is the single most common cause of a delayed SRT installation in Singapore.
Network management. A Network Management Card 3 is embedded from the factory, so SNMP, HTTPS and email alerting are available out of the box, and Schneider's Singapore listing includes a one-year Secure Network Management Card subscription. One SmartSlot remains free for an AP9613 Dry Contact I/O card, or a second AP9641 Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring inputs for the AP9335TH sensor.
Package Contents & Smart-UPS SRT Ordering Information
In the box: the UPS with its embedded Network Management Card 3 and the rail kit. Schneider does not publish a full itemised package-contents list for the SRT10KRMXLI in the documents we are able to cite, so we have not invented one — the installation guide linked in the Downloads section below is the authoritative reference. Ask SourceIT if you need contents confirmed before a tender submission.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC SRT10KRMXLI
What is the difference between the 10,000 VA and 10,000 W rating, and how do I size the SRT10KRMXLI?
VA is apparent power and W is real power. On most UPS families the watt figure is lower than the VA figure, and watts is what limits you — but the SRT10KRMXLI is a unity power factor design, so it delivers the full 10,000 W. Add up the real draw of everything you want on battery and keep the total below 10,000 W. Sizing to about 70–80% of that leaves headroom for inrush and future additions, and gives noticeably longer runtime.
How long will the SRT10KRMXLI run on battery?
That depends entirely on load, and we would rather give you a calculation than a marketing figure. Internal recharge time is 1.5 hours. Runtime is not linear — halving the load more than doubles the time on battery. For defined autonomy, add SRT192RMBP2 packs (up to 10) and ask SourceIT to size the configuration against your measured load.
Does the SRT10KRMXLI produce a sine wave output, and will it work with an active-PFC power supply?
Yes. Schneider specifies a sine wave output with less than 2% voltage distortion, and the unit is an on-line double-conversion design, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously. That is exactly the output type active-PFC server and workstation power supplies expect — unlike the step-approximated output of many entry-level line-interactive and standby UPS units, which some active-PFC supplies reject outright.
What does the RMXLI suffix mean?
RMXLI is the rackmount, extended-runtime, international build, supplied with the rail kit. XLI is the same electronics in tower orientation without rails. Schneider also produces XLT and XLW variants for other regional voltages, and “NC” suffixes elsewhere in the Smart-UPS range denote a factory-fitted network card. These are genuinely different builds — check the part number against your tender, because rack height and box contents differ across near-identical numbers.
Can the SRT10KRMXLI run from a three-phase supply?
Yes. It accepts either a 230 Vac single-phase feed (one 3-wire hardwire, 1P + N + E) or a 380 / 400 Vac three-phase feed (one 5-wire hardwire, 3P + N + E), at 40–70 Hz auto-sensing. Full-load input current is 54 A single phase or 18 A per phase on three phase, with an 80 A breaker specified either way. Output remains single phase.
Which replacement battery does the SRT10KRMXLI take, and can I change it myself?
The battery system is four sealed VRLA modules at 96 VDC each (±192 V split bus, 5 Ah per module) and the replacement cartridge is the APCRBC140. APC designs the SRT battery modules to be user-replaceable. Schneider rates expected battery life at three to five years; heat is the main determinant, so a cabinet that runs hot will shorten cartridge life.
How much rack space does the SRT10KRMXLI need, and is the rail kit included?
It occupies 6U in a standard 19-inch cabinet and the rail kit is included in the box. Chassis dimensions are 263 mm (H) x 432 mm (W) x 715 mm (D) — check your cabinet depth and allow for cable bend radius behind the unit. Net weight is 111.82 kg, so mount it at the very bottom of the rack, check the cabinet's static load rating, and plan the handling.
Can I monitor the SRT10KRMXLI over the network?
Yes, out of the box. A Network Management Card 3 is embedded from the factory, giving SNMP, HTTPS and email alerting, and Schneider's Singapore listing includes a one-year Secure Network Management Card subscription. One SmartSlot remains free if you want to add an AP9613 Dry Contact I/O card or an AP9641 with environmental monitoring for the AP9335TH sensor.
How does the SRT10KRMXLI compare with the SRT8KRMXLI?
Both sit on the same 6U chassis with the same ±192 V battery architecture, the same APCRBC140 cartridge and rails included. The SRT8KRMXLI is 8,000 VA / 8,000 W; the SRT10KRMXLI is 10,000 VA / 10,000 W and needs a heavier supply (54 A and an 80 A breaker versus 44 A and a 63 A breaker). Since the rack footprint is identical, the 10 kVA unit is usually the better buy if the electrical supply supports it.
Is the SRT10KRMXLI covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every APC SRT10KRMXLI sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRT10KRMXLI with a 3-year manufacturer warranty on the UPS (repair or replace, excluding the battery) and 2 years on the battery.
