TP-Link BE24000 Quad-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router (Archer BE900) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The Archer BE900 is TP-Link's Wi-Fi 7 flagship: four radios totalling BE24000, sixteen streams, 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz, two 10 Gbps ports including an SFP+ combo, four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, twelve antennas and a front touchscreen. Nothing else in the Archer range combines this wireless capacity with this much multi-gig wired capability.
BE24000 Across Four Radios
TP-Link publishes 11520 Mbps on 6 GHz, 5760 Mbps on each of two 5 GHz radios and 1376 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The 6 GHz figure comes from 320 MHz channel width, double the 160 MHz that Wi-Fi 6 routers use, and it is available only on 6 GHz. Sixteen streams with 4×4 MU-MIMO, OFDMA, Airtime Fairness and DFS keep a very large number of clients served concurrently.
Two 10 Gbps Ports, Four 2.5 Gbps LAN Ports
Wired networking is a 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port, a 10 Gbps SFP+/RJ45 combo internet port, four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports and a 1 Gbps LAN port. The combo port takes fibre directly with a suitable SFP+ module. TP-Link notes that only one of the combo pair — SFP+ or RJ45 — can be used as the WAN port at a time, and that 10 Gbps internet speeds require a compatible service plan and equipment.
A Touchscreen and LED Screen on the Front Panel
The BE900 replaces physical Wi-Fi, LED and WPS buttons with a touchscreen; only power and reset remain as hardware buttons. A separate LED screen on the front can display status and information at a glance, which makes it more of an object to place in a living room than to hide in a cupboard. Twelve optimally positioned antennas with Beamforming and a high-power front-end module give the rated four-bedroom coverage.
WireGuard VPN, WPA3 and Four Guest Networks
OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP and WireGuard all run as both server and client. Encryption covers WPA3, WPA2, WPA and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x, with a separate guest network on each of the four radios — 6 GHz, 5 GHz-1, 5 GHz-2 and 2.4 GHz — so visitors or IoT gear can be isolated on a band of their own. A dedicated IoT Network feature and Alexa and Google Assistant support are published for this model.
EasyMesh, HomeShield and Dual USB
The BE900 is EasyMesh-compatible, so it can mesh with other EasyMesh devices including other vendors' — TP-Link notes cross-vendor firmware differences can cause failed connections and that support is still being developed on some models. HomeShield adds IoT protection, malicious site blocking, intrusion prevention, DDoS prevention and a network scanner. A USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port serve FTP, media and Samba shares from NTFS, exFAT, HFS+ and FAT32 volumes.

TP-Link publishes no processor row, no net weight and no storage temperature or humidity figure for the Archer BE900. Those are left out rather than taken from another model. TP-Link also notes that product images are for reference only, as the antennas may be continuously optimised, and that the actual product prevails where an image differs.

Frequently Asked Questions — Archer BE900
Can I use both 10G ports at once?
You have a 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port and a 10 Gbps SFP+/RJ45 combo internet port. TP-Link notes that within the combo port you must choose either SFP+ or RJ45 as the WAN connection, not both.
Where are the WPS and Wi-Fi buttons?
On the touchscreen. Only power and reset are physical buttons on this model.
Do I need Wi-Fi 7 devices?
For 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM, yes. Older devices still connect at their own standard and still benefit from the quad-band capacity and the multi-gig wired ports.
