PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TP-Link PoE Injector (TL-POE150S) - 5 Years Local Warranty
The TL-POE150S is the entry point of Omada's injector range: a small 802.3af unit that adds up to 15.4 W of PoE to a Gigabit link, powered from an external 48 V DC adapter rather than an internal supply. At 81 × 54 × 24 mm it is the smallest of the line, and it is the right part for an 802.3af access point, camera or IP phone.
15.4 W of IEEE 802.3af Power
The published power supply figure is 15.4 W at a maximum of 48 V DC — the full 802.3af budget at the source. That covers the devices designed to the original PoE standard: indoor access points, fixed IP cameras, desk phones, door entry units and sensors. TP-Link states compatibility with 802.3af compliant powered devices and an auto-determine function for the necessary power requirement, so nothing has to be selected during installation. Devices requiring PoE+ or PoE++ need a higher-power injector.
Two Gigabit Ports With Auto MDI/MDIX
Both RJ45 ports run at 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so the injector neither caps a Gigabit link nor cares which way a patch lead is wired. The media table allows 100 m of Cat5e or Cat6 on 1000BASE-T, and TP-Link states plainly that the unit delivers power up to 100 metres. In practice that means the injector belongs at the switch, and only the one outgoing cable travels to the device.
External 48 V DC Supply Keeps the Unit Small
Unlike the higher-power injectors, the TL-POE150S has a dedicated 48 V DC power input port and takes its supply from the adapter in the box rather than from an internal mains section. That is what allows a 81 × 54 × 24 mm footprint — small enough to cable-tie to a rack rail or tuck behind a wall plate. A single PWR LED reports state. The trade-off is one more item to keep with the unit: if the adapter is lost, the injector will not run.
Plug-and-Play, Nothing to Set Up
Installation is patch, patch, power. There is no web interface, no firmware and no configuration, which is exactly what is wanted when the job is to power one device. Operating range is 0 to 40 °C at 10–90% non-condensing humidity, indoor figures suited to an office or comms cupboard rather than an unventilated outdoor box. The unit ships with the power adapter, an RJ45 cable and the installation guide.
Ideal For
Singapore offices, homes and small sites powering a single 802.3af access point, camera or IP phone from a switch that has no PoE, where 15.4 W is sufficient and space at the switch is tight. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support
A PoE adapter is a passive, plug-and-play power device. It carries no firmware, needs no licence, has no web interface and does not appear in an Omada Controller as a device — there is nothing on it to configure. It can, however, power Omada access points, cameras and other powered devices that comply with the standards below, and those devices remain fully manageable from an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller.
| PoE Standards Supported | IEEE 802.3af compliant powered devices |
| Power Supply | 15.4 W, max. 48 V DC, from the supplied external adapter |
| Link Speeds | 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps, auto negotiation, auto MDI/MDIX |
| Cable Distance | Power delivered up to 100 m |
| Configuration | None — plug-and-play, no web interface, no firmware |
| Omada Controller | Not adopted; the Omada device it powers remains fully managed |
Check the power budget of the device you intend to run: a powered device draws what it draws, and an injector only supplies up to its published maximum. Send us the model you are powering and we will confirm the match before you order rather than infer it from a sibling product.

Frequently Asked Questions — TL-POE150S
How much power does the TL-POE150S supply?
15.4 W at a maximum of 48 V DC, for IEEE 802.3af compliant powered devices.
Will it run a PoE+ access point?
Not if that access point requires 802.3at. TP-Link publishes 802.3af compatibility for this model; for 30 W devices use the TL-POE160S, and for 60 W or 90 W devices the TL-POE170S or POE380S.
Does it need a separate power adapter?
Yes, and one is supplied in the box. This model takes 48 V DC on a dedicated input port rather than mains directly, which is why it is the smallest unit in the range.
How far can the powered device be?
TP-Link states power is delivered up to 100 metres, with 1000BASE-T over Cat5e or Cat6 to the same limit.
What warranty does SourceIT provide?
Five years local Singapore warranty, under Omada's replacement warranty tier for PoE accessories. Every injector sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.
Can SourceIT quote this for a project?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole Omada build — switching, access points, PoE accessories and gateways — with local warranty and support.
