PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TP-Link Pharos 5GHz AC867 23dBi Outdoor CPE (CPE710) - 5 Years Local Warranty

The CPE710 is the 802.11ac member of TP-Link's Pharos outdoor bridging line: a 23 dBi directional 2x2 MIMO unit with a Gigabit shielded Ethernet port, rated to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. It is built for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links between buildings - a site-to-site connection where trenching fibre is impractical - in an IP65 enclosure rated from -40 to 70 °C.

867 Mbps on 5 GHz Over a 23 dBi Directional Antenna

The CPE710 runs IEEE 802.11a/n/ac across 5.15-5.85 GHz and reaches up to 867 Mbps at 80 MHz channel width, 400 Mbps at 40 MHz and 173.4 Mbps at 20 MHz. The 23 dBi high-gain directional 2x2 MIMO antenna is narrow by design - 9° azimuth and 7° elevation - which concentrates the energy into the link rather than spraying it across the neighbourhood, and TP-Link credits that beam directivity with improved latency and noise cancellation. Transmit power is adjustable to a maximum of 27 dBm in 1 dBm steps.

Gigabit Ethernet, Not the 100 Mbps of the Older Pharos Units

The CPE710 has one shielded 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN/PoE port. That matters: the earlier 5 GHz Pharos models terminate on a 100 Mbps port, which caps the wired side well below what an 867 Mbps radio can carry. On the CPE710 the wired hop is not the bottleneck. A Qualcomm 750 MHz CPU with 128 MB DDR2 RAM and 16 MB flash drives it - the most capable hardware in the Pharos CPE family.

Built for the Roof: IP65, 15 kV ESD, 6 kV Lightning Protection

The enclosure is outdoor PC stabilized plastic with an IP65 water and dust proof rating, and the unit carries 15 kV ESD protection and 6 kV lightning protection - the specification that decides whether a rooftop radio survives a Singapore monsoon season. Operating and storage temperature both run -40 to 70 °C, with operating humidity to 90% non-condensing. TP-Link's snap-lock assembly parts are designed for fast on-site build-up and a structure that stays put in wind.

Passive PoE to 60 m, With the Injector in the Box

Power arrives over the data cable as passive PoE at 16-27 V DC, and the 24 V passive PoE adapter is supplied in the box along with pole mounting kits, an AC power cord and the installation guide. TP-Link rates the supplied adapter for Power over Ethernet runs up to 60 m, so the CPE can sit on a mast well away from the nearest socket. The adapter also carries a remote reset button, letting a stuck unit be power-cycled from ground level rather than from the roof.

Managed Through PharOS and Pharos Control

Configuration is through the unit's own HTTPS web interface, with SNMP v2c, system log, SSH, Ping Watch Dog and dynamic DDNS available. Pharos Control is TP-Link's free centralised management application for discovering and remotely managing Pharos devices at scale. The built-in tools - spectrum analyzer, speed test, antenna alignment, throughput and station monitors, signal strength and CCQ indicators - are what make commissioning a long link practical without carrying test gear up a mast.

Ideal For

Singapore campuses, industrial sites, construction compounds, marinas and estates linking two buildings over open ground, CCTV backhaul from a remote gate or car park, and wireless ISP deployments needing a Gigabit-capable subscriber unit. TP-Link lists the CPE710 as End of Sale, so availability is limited - ask SourceIT about current stock and the current generation. Supplied by SourceIT with local Singapore warranty, GST invoice and project pricing on request.

Compatibility & Software Support

The CPE710 is a Pharos-series outdoor CPE. It runs TP-Link's PharOS firmware and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application - it is not an Omada device and cannot be adopted into an Omada Software, Hardware or Cloud-Based Controller, so it will not appear in an Omada site view alongside Omada gateways, switches and access points.

Omada Controller Not supported — the CPE710 runs PharOS and is not adopted by an Omada Controller
Pharos Control Supported — free centralised discovery and remote management of Pharos devices
Standalone Management Supported — HTTP/HTTPS web interface, SSH, SNMP v2c, system log
Wireless Interoperability Links to another CPE710 for a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint bridge. TP-Link does not publish a cross-model link compatibility matrix — match the model at both ends unless you have confirmed otherwise

If you need the link endpoints managed from the same console as your Omada network, tell us and we will scope what is and is not possible before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions — CPE710

Do I need two units for a building-to-building link?

Yes. A point-to-point bridge needs a CPE at each end. A point-to-multipoint deployment uses one unit as the access point and one at each remote site. Tell us the distance and line of sight and we will size the link with you.

Can I manage it from my Omada Controller?

No. The CPE710 runs PharOS and is managed through its own web interface or the free Pharos Control application. It is not adopted into an Omada Controller.

Is the PoE injector included?

Yes. TP-Link supplies a 24 V passive PoE adapter, pole mounting kits, an AC power cord and the installation guide in the box. The adapter supports Power over Ethernet runs up to 60 m.

What warranty does SourceIT provide?

Five years local Singapore warranty — Pharos Outdoor CPE sits in TP-Link's five-year replacement tier. Every CPE710 sold by SourceIT comes with a GST invoice.

Can SourceIT quote this for a project or tender?

Yes. Send the bill of materials and we will quote the whole build — bridge pair, mounting, surge protection, switching and the Omada network behind it — with local warranty and support.
