10 Gigabit Over Multimode Fibre
The NETGEAR AXM761 is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre. It is the standard optic for 10G uplinks, stacking and server links within a building or data centre from NETGEAR switches with SFP+ ports.
Reach by Fibre Type
According to NETGEAR's installation guide, the AXM761 operates at 850 nm and runs 2–300 m over 50/125 µm multimode fibre and 2–33 m over legacy 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre, with a standard LC duplex connector. It complies with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR.
Low Power, Hot-Swappable
The module draws less than 1.0 W, supports hot-swappable installation and removal, and is RoHS compliant. NETGEAR switches detect the AXM761 automatically when it is inserted.
