10G Copper in an SFP+ Port
The NETGEAR AXM765v2 (AXM765-20000S) is a 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver with an RJ-45 connector. It adds 10G copper connectivity to switch fibre interfaces, so you can connect 10GBASE-T servers, NAS units or switches to an SFP+ port.
Up to 80 m on Cat6a
This current version reaches up to 80 m (262 ft) over Cat6a or Cat7 cabling — well beyond the 30 m of the original AXM765. It complies with IEEE 802.3an and the SFF-8431/SFF-8432 SFP+ MSA.
For M4250, M4300 and M4500
NETGEAR states the AXM765v2 fits the SFP+ or SFP28 interfaces of its M4250, M4300 and M4500 managed switches. The module draws 2.5 W, is hot-swappable and is detected automatically by the switch.

The AXM765-20000S is listed in the NETGEAR M4250 datasheet ordering table ("conveniently adds 10G copper connectivity to M4250 fibre interfaces"). Please confirm your switch model with us before ordering.
Version Note
The AXM765-20000S is the AXM765v2. The original AXM765 (AXM765-10000S) was rated for 30 m on Cat6a; the v2 is rated for 80 m on Cat6a/Cat7. Note that the v2 installation guide specifies an operating temperature of 0–40 °C.

No drivers or software are needed — the switch detects the module automatically.
Alternatives
For Gigabit copper in an SFP port, see the AGM734 (1000BASE-T). For longer runs, use fibre modules such as the AXM761 (10GBASE-SR).
For very short 10G links between adjacent racks, NETGEAR direct attach cables are an alternative to a pair of modules: AXC761-10000S (1 m) and AXC763-10000S (3 m).
