The Ergotron LX Extension Arm Kit (98-130-216) supplies a complete additional LX arm, extension, pole collar and cap so an existing LX desk-mount pole can carry another screen. Rather than buying a second full mount and giving up a second patch of desk, you build upwards on the pole you already own — the standard way Singapore trading desks, design studios and IT support benches grow from one monitor to four.
13 Inches of Constant Force Lift on the Added Screen
The added arm carries Ergotron's Constant Force™ lift, giving 13″ (33.0 cm) of one-touch height adjustment with no gas struts to bleed off and no tools to reach for. Each user at a shared desk can set their own eye height in seconds. With screens heavier than 20 lbs the vertical range reduces by up to 4.5″, leaving 8.5″ of travel.
Frees the Desk Surface Instead of Filling It
Because the kit hangs off an existing pole, it consumes no additional desk footprint at all — a decisive advantage in Singapore offices where bench pitch is tight and every centimetre of worksurface is contested. Cables route down the shared pole rather than sprawling across the desk.
Carries a Laptop as Easily as a Monitor
Fit the optional Notebook Tray (50-193-200) in place of a VESA screen and the same arm floats a laptop at eye height beside the main display — the standard hybrid-work configuration for hot-desking and touchdown areas.

The LX Extension Arm Kit is a conversion kit, not a standalone mount. It requires an LX desk-mount base with a pole already installed — the kit's collar clamps onto that pole and carries a complete extra LX arm.

Ultrawide and curved screens: the 7–25 lbs (3.2–11.3 kg) rating covers most 27–34″ panels, but heavier 38″–49″ ultrawides exceed it. For a single heavy ultrawide, use an HX Desk Monitor Arm (up to 42 lbs / 19 kg) or, for 1000R curved panels, the HX Desk Monitor Arm with HD Pivot.
Laptops: pair the kit with the Ergotron Notebook Tray (50-193-200) to float a laptop alongside the main display instead of a second monitor — a common request for Singapore hot-desks and hybrid-work benches.

What is the difference between the polished aluminium and white kits?
Only the finish and the part number. 97-940-026 is polished aluminium and 98-130-216 is white (a matte black 98-130-224 also exists). Lift, capacity, VESA pattern and contents are identical across all three.
What monitor size and weight does this kit support?
Each screen position carries 7–25 lbs (3.2–11.3 kg) on a VESA MIS-D 100 x 100 mm or 75 x 75 mm pattern. Weigh the panel without its factory stand — that is the figure that matters.
How many screens can I run with this kit?
Each kit adds one screen position to an LX desk-mount pole. Ergotron positions the kit as the route from a single LX arm to a two-, three- or four-monitor configuration, adding a kit per extra screen as the pole height allows.
Does the kit include a desk clamp or grommet mount?
No. The kit clamps onto the pole of an LX desk-mount base you already own, so no new desk fixing is needed. If you do not yet have a base, order an LX arm such as the LX Desk Monitor Arm, Tall Pole (45-295-026) first — the taller pole leaves room for the stacked arm.
Do I need a VESA adapter?
Not for standard displays — the kit ships with a VESA FDMI MIS-D 100/75 C interface covering 100 x 100 mm and 75 x 75 mm patterns. Screens with a larger or non-standard pattern need the manufacturer's own VESA adapter plate.
Can I use this kit with an LX Sit-Stand arm?
No. Ergotron explicitly states the kit is not compatible with LX Sit-Stand Arm systems. For a sit-stand LX setup, see the LX Sit-Stand Desk Arm (45-360-026), which delivers 20″ (51 cm) of lift on its own.
Does this kit come with a Singapore warranty?
