The EB-L520U puts out 5,200 lumens of white light and 5,200 lumens of colour light, so slides, spreadsheets and video hold their punch in rooms where the blinds stay open and the downlights stay on. Because Epson's 3LCD engine measures colour brightness equal to white brightness, reds and blues do not dim away the moment ambient light rises. Paired with a dynamic contrast ratio of over 5,000,000:1, it suits corporate boardrooms, training rooms, university lecture theatres and hotel function spaces across Singapore where you cannot control the light but still need a readable image.
Laser Light Source Rated to 20,000 Hours with No Lamp Changes
A laser diode light source replaces the lamp entirely, rated at 20,000 hours in Normal mode and 30,000 hours in Extended mode. The electrostatic air filter carries the same 20,000 and 30,000 hour maintenance cycle, so a ceiling-mounted unit in a lecture theatre or an atrium can run for years before anyone needs a ladder. What does the "U" in EB-L520U mean?
In Epson's business projector naming, "U" indicates WUXGA resolution, 1920 x 1200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. A "W" model would be WXGA and an "F" model Full HD 1920 x 1080. WUXGA gives you 120 extra vertical pixels over Full HD, which is useful for spreadsheets, CAD and documents.
Does the EB-L520U have 4K Enhancement?
No. The EB-L520U projects at its native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200. If you need Epson's 4K Enhancement pixel-shifting technology, look at the EB-L570U, EB-L690E or EB-L770U instead.
How long does the laser last and do I ever change a lamp?
