Epson EB-L770U 3LCD Laser Projector with 4K
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-L770U WUXGA 3LCD Laser Projector with 4K Enhancement (V11HA96080) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
7,000 Lumens for Auditoriums, Ballrooms and Visitor Attractions
Colour light output and white light output are both 7,000 lumens, which is the bracket where a 200-inch screen still reads clearly with house lights up. That suits university auditoriums, hotel ballrooms, corporate town halls, museums and visitor attractions where the audience is large and the ambient light is not negotiable. Epson's 3LCD engine keeps colour brightness equal to white brightness, so branded graphics and photography hold their saturation rather than drifting pale. Dynamic contrast is rated at 2,500,000:1 for depth in video content shown in the same space.
4K Enhancement on a WUXGA Panel for Fine Detail
The native panel is WUXGA at 1920 x 1200, and Epson's 4K Enhancement pixel shifting places roughly double that pixel count on screen. On a very large image, where a plain WUXGA projector starts to show soft edges, this visibly tightens small text, drawing lines and detailed photography. Super resolution, detail enhancement and scene adaptive gamma process incoming signals further. For engineering firms, design studios and exhibition spaces projecting detailed content at scale, it delivers a noticeably crisper image without the cost of a native 4K imager.
Edge Blending and Curved Surface Correction for Multi-Projector Work
Edge blending and curved surface correction are both supported, so two or more EB-L770U units can be combined into a single seamless wide image or mapped onto a curved wall. The optional ELPEC01 external camera assists with automatic colour and geometry matching between units, which removes most of the tedious manual alignment work on site. Projection is 360 degrees, lens shift covers plus or minus 50 percent vertically and plus or minus 20 percent horizontally, and keystone correction adds plus or minus 30 degrees in both axes for awkward rigging positions.
HDBaseT, Fleet Management and a 20,000-Hour Laser
Two HDMI inputs and one HDBaseT input let the projector take a single long Cat 6 run from a remote source rack, the normal arrangement in a large venue. RS-232C and an RJ45 network port give AV control systems direct access, while Epson Projector Management monitors and schedules a fleet from one console and wireless LAN enterprise security allows corporate network access. The laser diode light source is rated at up to 20,000 hours in Normal mode, so a rigged projector in a high ceiling needs no lamp changes across the life of the install.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and placement
The EB-L770U supports 360-degree projection, so ceiling, table, tilted and rotated positions are all valid. Lens shift of plus or minus 50 percent vertically and plus or minus 20 percent horizontally should be your first adjustment, because optical shift preserves image quality where digital keystone correction does not; keystone correction of plus or minus 30 degrees in both axes is available where the rigging point leaves no choice. The chassis measures 339 x 440 x 136 mm including feet and weighs 8.5 kg — check the rating of any bracket before reuse.
What it connects to
Two HDMI inputs cover laptops, room PCs, media servers and conferencing codecs. One HDBaseT input carries video, audio and control over a single Cat 6 run from a remote rack, which is how most large-venue installations are wired. Two stereo mini audio inputs feed the 10W internal speaker or the room system. This model is digital-input only — there is no D-Sub 15-pin computer input — so VGA-only sources will need a converter. USB Type A and Type B ports handle content playback, document cameras, the ELPEC01 camera and firmware updates.
Network, control and content management
An RJ45 network port and an RS-232C serial port both accept commands from Crestron, Extron, AMX and similar control systems. Epson Projector Management monitors, schedules and updates a fleet from one console; Epson iProjection handles multi-PC projection; Epson Projector Content Manager builds playlists for unattended content playback. Wireless LAN enterprise security supports corporate network policy once the optional ELPAP11 module is fitted to the dedicated USB Type A port.
Multi-projector work
Edge blending and curved surface correction are supported for combining several units into one seamless image or projecting onto a curved surface. The ELPEC01 external camera assists with automatic colour and geometry matching across units. SourceIT can quote additional projectors, rigging and cabling together.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-L770U
Is the EB-L770U a native 4K projector?
No. The panel is WUXGA at 1920 x 1200, and Epson's 4K Enhancement shifts each pixel to place roughly double that count on screen. It sharpens text and fine detail noticeably on large images, but it is not a native 4K imager.
How is it different from the EB-L570U?
They share the same chassis, 1.6x zoom, 1.35 to 2.20 throw ratio and 4K Enhancement. The EB-L770U is brighter at 7,000 lumens against 5,200 lumens and draws more power. Choose it for larger screens or brighter venues.
Can I blend two of them into one wide image?
Yes. Edge blending and curved surface correction are both supported, and the optional ELPEC01 external camera assists with automatic colour and geometry matching between units.
Does it have a VGA input?
No. The EB-L770U takes digital sources only — two HDMI inputs and one HDBaseT input. A VGA-only laptop or document camera will need a converter.
How heavy is it and what size is the chassis?
8.5 kg, measuring 339 x 440 x 136 mm including feet. That is the same chassis as the EB-L570U and EB-L630U, so a bracket specified for one will normally suit the others.
Does it have built-in wireless?
Wireless requires the optional Epson ELPAP11 module, which fits the dedicated USB Type A port. Wired networking over RJ45 is built in, and wireless LAN enterprise security is supported once the module is fitted.
What size screen will it fill?
50 to 500 inches with the standard lens. An 80-inch image needs 2.33 to 3.78 metres across the 1.6x zoom range.
What warranty and paperwork do I get?
Every unit sold by SourceIT carries local Singapore warranty and ships with a GST invoice. Three years local warranty applies to this model.
