APC Temperature Sensor, RJ45 Universal Sensor for NMC, Rack ATS and NetBotz
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Temperature Sensor, RJ45 Universal Sensor, 13 ft Lead (AP9335T) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Rack Temperature, Reported Through Equipment You Already Own
The APC Temperature Sensor (AP9335T) is Schneider Electric's universal wired temperature probe. It measures the temperature at the point where you place it - the top of a rack, the inlet of a switch stack, the shelf where a NAS runs hottest - and reports through a host device that is already on your network: a Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring, a NetShelter Rack ATS or Rack PDU with a sensor port, or a NetBotz appliance.
The lead is 13 ft (about 4 m) long and terminated RJ45, and Schneider says it can be extended to 15 m with a coupler and standard CAT-5 cable, so the probe can sit where the heat is rather than where the host device happens to be mounted.
The Sensor the AP9641 Ships With, Sold Separately
If you own an AP9641 management card you already have one AP9335T - Schneider puts one in the box. This listing is for the second port on that card, for a Rack ATS or Rack PDU sensor port that ships empty, or for a NetBotz appliance that needs more probes. It is the temperature-only member of the AP9335 pair; the AP9335TH adds relative humidity in the same housing.
Why a Probe on the UPS or PDU Beats Nothing at All
Most SME comms cabinets in Singapore are monitored for power and nothing else. When the air-conditioning trips over a long weekend the first sign is usually a switch rebooting on thermal shutdown. A probe on a host device that is already sending e-mail and SNMP traps turns that into a threshold alarm hours earlier, for the cost of a cable. It is rated for 0 to 55 °C, which comfortably covers a cabinet that has already gone wrong.
Supplied Locally in Singapore with GST Invoice
The AP9335T is not a normally stocked line for SourceIT but it is available to order, with local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice. If you are buying a management card and a sensor together, tell us and we will check the port count before you commit.

Compatibility & Fit
What the AP9335T plugs into. It is a sensor, not a standalone monitor - it always reports through a host device with a universal I/O or sensor port.
| AP9641 | NMC3 with Environmental Monitoring - 2 universal I/O ports. Ships with one AP9335T; this listing fills the second port. |
| AP9613 | Dry Contact I/O SmartSlot Card - universal I/O ports 1 and 2 accept the AP9335T |
| AP4421A, AP4423A, AP4424A and AP4422A | NetShelter Rack ATS, fifth generation - one universal I/O port per unit for an AP9335T or AP9335TH |
| AP8853 | NetShelter Metered Rack PDU - environmental sensor port takes the AP9335T or AP9335TH |
| NBRK0250A | NetBotz Rack Monitor 250 - 6 universal sensor ports, supports up to 42 wired sensors |
| AP9640 | Not compatible - no universal I/O ports. Specify the AP9641 instead. |
Cable reach. The lead is 13 ft, terminated RJ45, and Schneider allows extension to 15 m with a coupler and CAT-5 cable. That is enough to run from a card in a UPS at the bottom of a rack to a sensing point at the top, or across to an adjacent cabinet. For wider coverage, use a NetBotz appliance with several sensors rather than one long run.
How many can I connect? Two per AP9641 or AP9613 (two universal I/O ports each). One per Rack ATS or Rack PDU sensor port. Six directly on a NetBotz Rack Monitor 250, which supports up to 42 wired sensors in total through its A-Link ports.
Temperature only, or temperature and humidity? The AP9335T reads temperature. The AP9335TH reads temperature and relative humidity from the same style of probe and the same host ports. In Singapore's climate humidity is worth the small premium in an unconditioned cabinet; in a properly air-conditioned room the temperature-only probe is usually enough.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC AP9335T
Will the AP9335T work with any APC network management card?
No. It needs a universal I/O port, which the AP9641 and the AP9613 have and the AP9640 and the Easy UPS card AP9544 do not. If you are ordering a card and a sensor together, order the AP9641 - and note it already includes one AP9335T.
Does it work with a Rack ATS or Rack PDU?
Yes, where the unit has a sensor port. The fifth-generation NetShelter Rack ATS units (AP4421A, AP4422A, AP4423A, AP4424A) each have one universal I/O port that takes an AP9335T or AP9335TH, and NetShelter Rack PDUs with an environmental sensor port, such as the AP8853, accept it too. Readings and alarms then appear in that unit's Web UI and SNMP tree.
What is the difference between the AP9335T and the AP9335TH?
The H. The AP9335T reads temperature; the AP9335TH reads temperature and relative humidity. Same connector, same hosts, same 2-year warranty. The T is the one that ships with an AP9641; the TH is the one you add when humidity matters.
How long is the cable, and can I extend it?
13 ft, roughly 4 m, terminated RJ45. Schneider says it can be extended to 15 m using an RJ45 coupler and standard CAT-5 cable. Beyond that, use a NetBotz appliance with multiple probes rather than one long run.
What temperature range and accuracy does it have?
Schneider rates the sensor for operation from 0 to 55 °C, at up to 95% relative humidity and up to 3,000 m elevation. A measurement accuracy figure is not published on the AP9335T product page or datasheet; if your application needs a stated tolerance, ask us and we will check with Schneider before you order.
Does the sensor send the alerts itself?
No - the host device does. Thresholds, e-mail notification, SNMP traps and logging are configured on the management card, Rack ATS, Rack PDU or NetBotz appliance the sensor plugs into. Note that the AP9613 accepts this sensor but has no network interface, so it cannot send network alerts.
Does it come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every APC AP9335T sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC by Schneider Electric backs the AP9335T with a 2-year repair-or-replace hardware warranty.
