APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA 10000W Tower 230V On-Line Double Conversion
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA 230V (SRT10KXLI) - 2 Years Local Warranty
10 kVA / 10 kW Double-Conversion On-Line Protection in a Floor-Standing Tower
The APC Smart-UPS SRT 10000VA (SRT10KXLI) is the top of the SRT tower range: an on-line, double-conversion UPS that rectifies incoming mains to DC and regenerates it as a clean sine wave, so the load runs from the inverter continuously rather than being switched over when the supply fails. Output harmonic distortion is rated at less than 2% and an internal bypass (automatic and manual) is fitted. At 10 kW this is protecting a full production rack, and on Singapore's 230V / 50Hz supply the everyday risk is the PUB grid dips and momentary interruptions of the storm season — each one enough to reset a hypervisor host.
Unity Power Factor: 10,000 VA and a Full 10,000 W of Usable Output
The SRT10KXLI delivers 10,000 W from its 10,000 VA rating, so there is no watt derating to design around. Nominal output is 230 V AC single phase, configurable to 220 V or 240 V, at 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz synchronised to mains, on (6) IEC 60320 C13 and (4) IEC 60320 C19 outlets with (3) IEC jumpers, plus a hard-wire 3-wire output. A 3:1 crest factor gives headroom for the inrush of switch-mode server power supplies. Size on watts: total the real power draw of everything you intend to protect and keep it comfortably under 10,000 W.
Single-Phase or Three-Phase Input — Both Hard Wired
The SRT10KXLI accepts either a 230 V AC single-phase supply (one 3-wire hardwire, 1P + N + E) or a 380 / 400 / 415 V AC three-phase supply (one 5-wire hardwire, 3P + N + E), at 40–70 Hz auto-sensing. The input window is adjustable down to 100–275 V at half load on single phase, or 173–476 V on three phase. There is no plug — book a licensed electrician and confirm the supply and breaker rating with building management before the delivery date. On a three-phase feed the output remains single phase.
Scalable Runtime with SRT192BP2 Battery Packs
The battery system is sealed lead-acid on a ±192 V split bus referenced to neutral, with two APCRBC140 cartridges, an 876 W rated charger, a 1.5-hour typical recharge time and an expected service life of three to five years. Schneider's runtime estimator on the Singapore product page shows 3 minutes 45 seconds at the full 10,000 W load — a ride-through figure that lengthens considerably at partial load. For defined autonomy the SRT10KXLI accepts up to ten SRT192BP2 external battery packs. Ambient temperature is the main determinant of battery life, so keep the room cool; the unit is rated for 0–40°C at 0–95% non-condensing humidity.
Network Management Card 3 Included, Rail Kit Sold Separately, Local Singapore Supply
A Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring is pre-installed and one SmartSlot remains free, so SNMP, HTTPS and EcoStruxure-ready monitoring are available out of the box — Schneider's Singapore listing includes a one-year Secure Network Management Card subscription — and you can still add an AP9613 Dry Contact I/O card later. The tower chassis measures 432 mm (H) x 263 mm (W) x 715 mm (D) and ships without a rail kit; Schneider describes it as rack/tower convertible with the SRTRK2 or SRTRK3 sold separately, and the SRT10KRMXLI is the 6U rackmount build with rails in the box. Net weight is 111.82 kg; acoustic noise is 55 dBA and thermal dissipation 1,947 BTU/hr. SourceIT supplies it from Singapore with a GST invoice and local warranty support.

Compatibility & Runtime
What you can plug in. (6) IEC 60320 C13, (4) IEC 60320 C19 and (3) IEC jumpers, plus a hard-wire 3-wire output for a downstream distribution board or rack PDU, all battery-backed. Keep the total real power draw (watts) below the 10,000 W rating — runtime falls sharply as load rises.
Runtime depends on load. Schneider's runtime estimator shows 3 minutes 45 seconds at the full 10,000 W load on the internal batteries. Runtime is not linear — halving the load more than doubles the time on battery — so ask SourceIT for a calculation against your measured watts.
Extended runtime. Connect up to ten SRT192BP2 external battery packs on the ±192 V bus. Recharge time increases with each pack added, and each pack has a keyed connector that only fits its corresponding UPS. The rackmount SRT192RMBP2 is the pack for the rackmount SRT10KRMXLI.
Rack fit. This is the tower SKU: 432 mm (H) x 263 mm (W) x 715 mm (D), shipped without a rail kit. Schneider lists SRTRK2 or SRTRK3 as the rail kit sold separately; converted, the chassis occupies 6U. At 111.82 kg, check the rack's static load rating and the delivery route before the unit arrives. If you know it is going into a cabinet, the SRT10KRMXLI is the 6U rackmount build with rails included.
Input and circuit — read this before ordering. The SRT10KXLI is hard wired, with no input plug: one 3-wire hardwire (1P + N + E) for single phase, or one 5-wire hardwire (3P + N + E) for three phase, at 40–70 Hz auto-sensing. A licensed electrician must terminate it onto a suitably rated dedicated circuit — confirm the supply, conductor sizing and breaker rating with building management before delivery, using the operation manual linked below. This is the most common cause of a delayed SRT installation in Singapore.
Network management. A Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring is pre-installed, so SNMP, HTTPS and email alerting are available out of the box and PowerChute Network Shutdown can close down multiple servers gracefully. One SmartSlot remains free for an AP9613 Dry Contact I/O card, and the AP9335TH sensor adds humidity readings to the card's environmental inputs.

Frequently Asked Questions — APC SRT10KXLI
What is the difference between the 10,000 VA and 10,000 W rating, and how do I size the SRT10KXLI?
VA is apparent power and W is real power. On most UPS families the watt figure is lower than the VA figure, and watts is what limits you — but the SRT10KXLI is a unity power factor design, so it delivers the full 10,000 W. Keep the total real draw below 10,000 W; sizing to about 70–80% leaves headroom for inrush and gives noticeably longer runtime.
How long will the SRT10KXLI run on battery?
Schneider's runtime estimator on the Singapore product page shows 3 minutes 45 seconds at the full 10,000 W load on the internal batteries. Runtime is not linear — halving the load more than doubles the time on battery — so a typical 40–50% load runs well beyond that. For defined autonomy, add SRT192BP2 packs (up to 10) and ask SourceIT to size the configuration against your measured load.
Does the SRT10KXLI produce a sine wave output, and will it work with an active-PFC power supply?
Yes. Schneider specifies a sine wave output with less than 2% harmonic distortion, and the unit is an on-line double-conversion design, so the load is fed from the inverter continuously. That is exactly the output type active-PFC server and workstation power supplies expect.
Can the SRT10KXLI run from a three-phase supply?
Yes. It accepts a 230 V AC single-phase feed (3-wire hardwire, 1P + N + E) or a 380 / 400 / 415 V AC three-phase feed (5-wire hardwire, 3P + N + E). Output remains single phase either way.
What do the XLI and RMXLI suffixes mean?
XLI is the tower build supplied without a rail kit; RMXLI is the same electronics in a rackmount build supplied with the rail kit. Schneider also produces XLT and XLW variants for other regional voltages, so check the part number against your tender.
Which replacement battery does the SRT10KXLI take, and can I change it myself?
The battery system is a ±192 V split bus and the replacement cartridge is the APCRBC140, two per unit. APC designs the SRT battery modules to be user-replaceable. Expected battery life is three to five years; heat shortens it.
Can I rack-mount the SRT10KXLI?
Yes. Schneider lists SRTRK2 or SRTRK3 as the rail kit sold separately; converted, it occupies 6U. If it is going into a cabinet from the start, the SRT10KRMXLI is the 6U rackmount build with rails in the box.
How does the SRT10KXLI compare with the SRT8KXLI?
Same tower chassis, ±192 V battery architecture, APCRBC140 cartridges and SRT192BP2 packs. The SRT8KXLI is 8,000 VA / 8,000 W; the SRT10KXLI is 10,000 VA / 10,000 W and needs a heavier supply circuit.
Is the SRT10KXLI covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every APC SRT10KXLI sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRT10KXLI with a 3-year manufacturer warranty on the UPS (repair or replace, excluding the battery) and 2 years on the battery.
