Ribbon offers the Microsoft certified Session Border Controller (SBC) needed to connect Teams to a Communications Service Provider (read: phone numbers). Teams connectivity to the outside world uses IP based voice connections, often called SIP Trunks. Ribbon’s SBCs provide the security and interoperability assurance needed so enterprises can choose from hundreds of service providers world wide.
