The APC Smart-UPS C SMC2000I-2U puts 2000 VA and 1300 W of true sine wave, line-interactive protection with AVR into a 2U rackmount chassis. Output distortion stays under 5% at full load, which is what active-PFC server and network power supplies need — a step-approximated waveform can make those supplies drop the load or run hot. For a Singapore comms cabinet or a small server rack, this is the practical middle of the range.
AVR Handles PUB Voltage Dips Without Touching the Battery
Singapore runs on 230 V, 50 Hz mains, and the day-to-day threat to equipment here is rarely a full blackout — it is the sag when a PUB feeder is switched, the brownout during a storm, and the surge that follows. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects those without touching the battery, which is why an AVR unit's batteries last longer in service than a cheaper standby UPS's do in the same building. The SMC2000I-2U works across a 180 to 287 V input window on 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz auto-sensing input, correcting through the transformer so the battery is held in reserve for real outages.
Six C13 Outlets and Two Jumper Cords — No C19 on This Model
This is the specification detail worth reading twice: the SMC2000I-2U provides six IEC C13 outlets plus two IEC jumper cords, all battery-backed, and it has no IEC C19 outlet. Its tower sibling the SMC2000I does have a C19, and so does the larger SMC3000RMI2U. If you have a C20-terminated load to feed, this is not the model — and that is exactly the mistake we would rather you did not make at the point of order. The unit itself is fed by an IEC C20 inlet.
2U, 470 mm Deep, and It Ships with Brackets — Not Rails
The chassis is 89 mm high, 480 mm wide across the mounting flanges and 470 mm deep, weighing 26.2 kg. It fits a standard 19-inch rack, and the 470 mm depth is modest enough for most comms cabinets. Note that Schneider ships rack-mounting brackets, not four-post slide rails, with this model — if your cabinet needs rails you will want to plan support for the rear of the unit. At 42 dBA and 81 BTU/hr it is quiet and cool enough for an office comms cupboard.

The replacement battery cartridge part number is deliberately not published here: independent mirrors of the Schneider data sheet give three different designations across production revisions, and quoting the wrong one is a returns problem, not a typo. Ask us and we will confirm against your unit's label. Schneider also does not publish an adjustable input range, a battery VAh figure, an input current or a battery bus voltage for this model — the 170 to 300 V adjustable range belongs to the tower builds and is not carried over here. Transfer time appears in only one data sheet revision, so it is omitted. UL, cUL and ENERGY STAR are not on the certification list for this model and are not claimed, and no Schneider document describes the batteries as hot-swappable. Compatibility & Runtime

Input. IEC C20 inlet. A dedicated circuit is the sensible choice at this rating.
Management. This model has no SmartSlot. An internal APC network management card such as the AP9640 or AP9641 cannot be fitted to any Smart-UPS C unit — management is over the bundled USB or serial port to a host running APC PowerChute software. If you need SNMP or web management in the rack, choose a Smart-UPS SMT or SMX model with a SmartSlot, or a Smart-UPS C SmartConnect model with a built-in Ethernet port.
