Epson EB-L200SX Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-L200SX XGA Short-Throw 3LCD Laser Projector (V11H994052) - Local Warranty
XGA 4:3 Short Throw — Built for Rooms That Already Run 4:3 Screens
The EB-L200SX is the XGA member of the EB-L200 short-throw family. Its 0.55-inch C2 Fine 3LCD panel is native 1024 x 768 in a 4:3 frame, which is exactly the shape of the pull-down screens, wall boards and document-camera output still installed across a great many Singapore classrooms, training rooms and community halls. Where a 16:10 image would leave unused screen at the sides, the SX fills the surface you already own.
3,600 Lumens of Colour Brightness With No Colour Wheel
Epson publishes 3,600 lumens of colour light output and 3,600 lumens of white light output, falling to 2,520 lumens in economy mode. The figures are equal because the 3LCD engine splits light through three separate liquid crystal panels at once rather than sequencing a colour wheel, so a coloured diagram or a photograph is as bright as a white slide and there is no rainbow artefact for sensitive viewers. That holds up in a room with the lights on and blinds partly drawn.
A Laser Light Source Rated at 20,000 Hours
There is no lamp in this projector, which removes the single largest running cost and the single most common service call from a classroom estate. The laser light source is rated at 20,000 hours; at six teaching hours a day that is well over a decade. Brightness also drifts far less than a UHE lamp does, so a set of rooms commissioned together still matches years later — which matters when staff and students move between them.
Short Throw That Keeps the Presenter Out of the Beam
As a short-throw model the EB-L200SX mounts close above the screen on a wall arm rather than hanging in the middle of the room. A teacher working at the board is largely out of the light path, so there is no shadow across the content and no glare in the eyes when they turn to face the class. It also frees the ceiling void and removes the long cable run that a mid-room projector needs, which usually makes installation cheaper as well as tidier.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and orientation
As a short-throw model the EB-L200SX is normally wall-mounted on an arm directly above the screen rather than ceiling-hung in the middle of the room, which shortens the cable run and keeps the presenter out of the beam. Confirm the exact throw distance for your screen width against the current Epson data sheet for V11H994052 before ordering the arm — SourceIT can supply that with your quotation.
What it connects to
HDMI, VGA and USB connections cover laptops, mini-PCs, media players, older desktops and visualisers, and Wi-Fi is available for wireless sharing. Because the exact port count varies between regional SKUs of this model, ask SourceIT to confirm the connector list against the current Epson data sheet revision when you enquire.
Network and content management
Wireless connectivity allows content to be shared from laptops, tablets and phones without cabling. For centralised network monitoring and room-controller integration across a larger estate, the EB-L200SW and EB-L210SW publish full RJ45 and RS-232C specifications.
Where it sits in the range
The EB-L200SX is the XGA short-throw model. The EB-L200SW is the WXGA short-throw sibling; the standard-throw models are the EB-L200W in WXGA and the EB-L200F in Full HD. The newer short-throw generation is the EB-L210SW and EB-L210SF.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-L200SX
The EB-L200 codes look almost identical — which one am I actually buying?
Read the suffix. S means short throw, and the final letter is the resolution: F is Full HD 1920 x 1080, W is WXGA 1280 x 800 and X is XGA 1024 x 768. So EB-L200F is Full HD standard throw, EB-L200W is WXGA standard throw, EB-L200SW is WXGA short throw and EB-L200SX is XGA short throw. A standard-throw unit sits several metres back; a short-throw unit sits under a metre from the wall.
Is the EB-L200SX WXGA or XGA?
XGA. Epson's published specification for this model is a native XGA 1024 x 768 panel in a 4:3 aspect ratio on a 0.55-inch C2 Fine LCD. The X in the suffix is what signals XGA. If you want a widescreen WXGA 1280 x 800 short-throw projector instead, that is the EB-L200SW.
How bright is it, and how does that compare with the rest of the family?
3,600 lumens of both colour and white light output, dropping to 2,520 lumens in economy mode. That makes it the least bright of the four EB-L200 models — the EB-L200SW is 3,800 lumens, the EB-L200W is 4,200 and the EB-L200F is 4,500. For a normal classroom or training room with blinds, 3,600 lumens is comfortable.
Do I need to change a lamp?
No. The EB-L200SX uses a laser light source rated at up to 20,000 hours, so there is no lamp to stock or replace across a normal deployment life, and brightness stays far more consistent than a UHE lamp manages.
Why choose short throw over a standard-throw projector?
Two reasons. First, the room: a short-throw unit works where there is simply not enough depth to place a projector several metres back. Second, the presenter: mounting the unit close above the screen keeps whoever is standing at the board out of the light path, so there is no shadow on the content and no beam in their eyes.
Will it fill our existing 4:3 pull-down screen?
Yes — that is exactly what the 4:3 XGA panel is for. A 16:10 or 16:9 projector on a 4:3 screen either leaves the top and bottom of the screen unused or overshoots the sides. If your rooms already have 4:3 screens and boards, the SX is the model that matches them.
What is the contrast ratio?
2,500,000:1, in common with the rest of the EB-L200 laser family. In practice that means black text stays properly black on a white page rather than washing to grey, which is what a room reading documents all day actually notices.
Which specifications can SourceIT confirm before I order?
Epson no longer publishes a full public specification sheet for every region on this model. SourceIT can e-mail the current Epson data sheet revision for V11H994052 with your quotation, covering throw distances, exact port counts, dimensions and weight, so you can size a wall arm and a cable run with confidence.
What warranty and paperwork do I get from SourceIT?
Every unit is supplied by SourceIT with a three-year Singapore local warranty and a full GST invoice, so the projector can go straight onto your company's asset register and be serviced locally without shipping it overseas.
