Six SCHUKO and One C13 Outlet From a Single 1U Rack Strip
The APC Easy Rack PDU Basic (EPDU1010B-SCH) is a 1U, 19-inch rack power strip for single-phase 230 V supplies. Schneider's full product name spells out exactly what you get: 2.3 kW at 230 V, 10 A, six SCHUKO outlets and one IEC C13 outlet, fed from an IEC 60320 C14 inlet.
That SCHUKO outlet count is what distinguishes it from the C13-only strips in the APC range. If the equipment going into the rack arrives with Schuko-terminated leads - a great deal of European-sourced networking, AV and industrial kit does - this is the strip that takes them without adapters.
Basic Means Basic - and That Is the Point
There is no metering, no outlet switching, no display and no network port on this unit. It is a distribution strip: mains in, seven outlets out, in one rack unit. For a branch office cabinet, a small comms rack, an AV rack or a wallmount enclosure where the requirement is simply clean, rack-mounted distribution, that simplicity is the feature - nothing to configure, nothing to patch, nothing to fail.
When you do need visibility or remote control, the APC range steps up to metered and switched models. Note that those models present C13 and C19 outlets rather than SCHUKO, so Schuko-terminated equipment would need adapter leads - see the ordering table below.
Sized for Singapore's 230V, 50Hz Mains
The unit accepts 200 to 240 VAC and is rated 10 A, giving 2.3 kW at Singapore's nominal 230 V. Its C14 inlet takes a standard 10 A IEC cord, and Schneider specifies a 2.5 m input cord. Ask SourceIT to confirm how that cord is terminated for your Singapore socket or rack UPS outlet before installation.
A practical note on sizing: 10 A is the whole strip, not per outlet. Seven outlets do not mean seven independent 10 A circuits.
A 1U Strip for Racks, Wallmount Cabinets and Comms Rooms
It mounts in a 19-inch NetShelter or any EIA-310-D rack with the two supplied brackets and hardware, weighs 0.6 kg, and runs from -5 to 45 °C at 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity - comfortable in an unconditioned Singapore comms cabinet, though the equipment inside it may be less so.
Note that this PDU has no surge protection: no APC Rack PDU does. If the load needs surge protection or ride-through, feed the strip from a UPS. Supplied and invoiced locally in Singapore with GST.

Compatibility & Load Planning
What plugs in. Six SCHUKO outlets and one IEC C13 outlet, all rated 10 A. SCHUKO outlets accept Schuko-terminated leads; the single C13 takes a standard IEC kettle-style lead. If most of your equipment uses C14 inlets - which is the norm for servers, switches and rack UPS - a C13-outlet strip such as the AP9559 or AP9565 will suit you better. Choose this model when the load arrives on Schuko plugs.
How much load it will take. 10 A total, 2.3 kW at 230 V, across the whole strip. The outlet count is not a current multiplier. Sum the nameplate current of every connected device, keep the total below 10 A, and leave headroom for the inrush that occurs when several power supplies start simultaneously after an outage.
Feeding the PDU. The inlet is an IEC 60320 C14 and Schneider specifies a 2.5 m input cord; ask us to confirm how it is terminated. Feeding it from a C13 outlet on a rack UPS is the preferable arrangement, because that is how you obtain the surge protection and ride-through this PDU does not provide. Size the UPS for the load you actually connect, not for the strip's 10 A ceiling.
Rack space. 1U of 19-inch rack, 482 mm wide, mounted with the two supplied brackets in any EIA-310-D rack including APC NetShelter cabinets. In a small wallmount enclosure such as the NetShelter 6U AR106VI, budget for the strip consuming one of your six units.
No surge protection, and no APC Rack PDU has any. Schneider states that APC Rack PDUs are designed for power distribution rather than power conditioning or surge suppression. To protect connected equipment, feed the PDU from a UPS or fit a dedicated upstream surge protective device.
No management. There is no network port, no metering and no outlet switching on a Basic model, so there is nothing to monitor remotely and no environmental sensor port. If you need per-outlet control or load visibility, move up the range - see the ordering table below.

How many outlets does it have, and of what type?
Seven: six SCHUKO outlets and one IEC 60320 C13, all rated 10 A. That is straight from Schneider's full product name for the part.
What is the difference between VA, watts and the 2.3 kW figure?
Schneider states the capacity as 2.3 kW at 230 V, with a maximum input current of 10 A. The number to plan against is that 10 A total: sum the nameplate current of every device you will connect, keep the total below 10 A, and leave margin for the inrush current drawn when multiple power supplies start at once after an outage.
Does it have surge protection?
No. Schneider states plainly that APC Rack PDUs do not include built-in surge protection - they are power distribution devices, not power conditioning devices. Schneider's own recommendation is to feed the PDU from a UPS, or to fit a dedicated upstream surge protective device. A rack-mount Smart-UPS is the usual answer.
Can I monitor or switch the outlets remotely?
Not on this model. "Basic" means no metering, no display, no outlet switching and no network port. For remote on/off control per outlet, look at the AP7921B or AP7920B switched 1U units; for load visibility without switching, the AP7822B metered unit. All three present C13 and C19 outlets rather than SCHUKO, so budget for adapter leads if your equipment arrives on Schuko plugs.
How does it compare with the AP9559 and AP9565?
All three are Basic 1U strips, but they differ in outlet type and capacity. This unit is 10 A / 2.3 kW with six SCHUKO plus one C13 from a C14 inlet. The AP9559 is 16 A / 3.7 kW with ten C13 plus two C19 from a C20 inlet. The AP9565 is 16 A / 3.7 kW with twelve C13 and no C19, also from a C20 inlet. Neither of those two has a SCHUKO outlet, so choose on plug type first and capacity second.
How much rack space does it need, and what mounting hardware is included?
1U of standard 19-inch rack. Two brackets and mounting hardware are supplied for a NetShelter or any EIA-310-D rack. It weighs 0.6 kg, so it adds nothing meaningful to the cabinet load.
Does it come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every APC EPDU1010B-SCH sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the EPDU1010B-SCH with a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Note that this is shorter than the two years that applies to the AP7000 and AP8000 series Rack PDUs: the Easy Rack PDU line carries its own term.
