Poly Studio X72 Video Bar with TC10 Controller Kit
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Poly Studio X72 Dual-Camera Video Bar with TC10 Controller Kit — A4MA7AA - Local Warranty
Dual 20 MP 4K Cameras for Rooms Up to 8.5 m Long
The Poly Studio X72 is the largest bar in the Studio X family and the only one with two cameras. A wide camera covers the room at 140° diagonal / 120° horizontal; a narrow camera at 78° diagonal / 70° horizontal reaches down the length of the table. Both are 20 MP and both capture 2160p 4K Ultra HD, and DirectorAI switches and frames between them. HP rates the system for large rooms of approximately 28 ft x 15 ft — 8.5 m x 4.6 m — which covers most boardrooms and training rooms in a Singapore office.
7.3x Digital Zoom Across Two Lenses
Because the X72 has a dedicated narrow camera to zoom with, it reaches 7.3x digital zoom and still holds a usable image on someone at the far end of a long boardroom table, where a single-lens wide-angle bar would be cropping into a small part of its sensor. The zoom is digital rather than optical, and the framing is electronic — there is no motorised pan-tilt head. A privacy shutter opens and closes automatically with the system state.
Supplied With the Poly TC10 Touch Controller
This kit pairs the dual-camera Studio X72 with the Poly TC10, a 10.1-inch capacitive touch controller with a 300-nit IPS display, an air-quality sensor, a proximity sensor and multicolour room-status LEDs. It pairs with the bar over the network and runs on PoE (IEEE 802.3at Class 0), so the table position needs one Cat5e run and nothing else.
Two-Way Stereo Audio with Bass Ports
The X72's audio is built for a room where the far wall is eight metres away: two-way stereo speakers with bass ports, driven at 2 x 20 W RMS on the mid drivers and 2 x 15 W RMS on the tweeters. Four microphones — two MEMS plus two second-order — form a beamforming array that picks up to 7.62 m, with Poly NoiseBlockAI and Poly Acoustic Fence handling ambient noise and room bleed.
Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms Native, Plus Device Mode
HP certifies the Studio X72 for Microsoft Teams and for Zoom. The system runs Poly Video mode, Device Mode and provider modes such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms directly on the bar, so a large room does not need a separate compute appliance. In Device Mode a laptop connects over USB-C and the HDMI input and drives the cameras, speakers, microphones and display for any application at all.

Compatibility & Software Support
Platforms and certifications
HP states the Studio X72 is Certified for Microsoft Teams and Certified for Zoom. Google Meet is not listed among the Studio X72 certifications by HP, so we do not claim it here.
The system runs Poly Video mode, Device Mode and provider modes such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms directly on the bar, and Poly Video App mode reaches all cloud service providers.
Use it with a laptop or room PC
Device Mode is supported — connect a PC over USB-C and the HDMI input, and use the bar's cameras, speakers, microphones and display from that PC.
Standards-based calling
Standards-based H.323 and SIP calling up to 6 Mbps in Poly Video mode.
Management software
The Studio X72 is managed through Poly Lens, HP's cloud device-management service. From one console your IT team can see room device health, push firmware, apply configuration profiles and pull usage insights across every Poly device in the estate — which is the usual reason Singapore IT departments standardise on Poly rather than mixing consumer hardware across meeting rooms.
Touch control
This kit ships with the Poly TC10, a 10.1-inch capacitive touch controller that pairs with the bar over the network and draws power from PoE (IEEE 802.3at Class 0), so a single Cat5e run to the table is all the cabling it needs. It adds an air-quality sensor, a proximity sensor and multicolour room-status LEDs, and — unlike the TC8 — it can also run unpaired as a standalone Zoom Rooms Scheduler or Microsoft Teams Panel outside the room, if you later repurpose it.

Frequently Asked Questions — Poly Studio X72
What is in this kit?
The dual-camera Poly Studio X72 video bar and the Poly TC10 10.1-inch touch controller, together with the bar's Ethernet cable, two HDMI cables, AC power adapter and wall mount kit, plus the TC10's table stand, wall mount kit and Cat5e cable. It is the same bar as the standalone Studio X72 listing, bundled with its controller. HP rates the X72 for large rooms of approximately 28 ft x 15 ft (8.5 m x 4.6 m).
Why does the Studio X72 have two cameras?
One camera covers the whole room at 120° horizontal; the second is a narrow 70° camera that reaches down the length of the table. DirectorAI frames and switches between them, so a person at the far end of a long boardroom is captured by a lens actually pointed at them rather than by a digital crop from a wide-angle sensor. That is also why the X72 reaches 7.3x digital zoom where the single-lens bars stop at 5x.
Do I need a room PC or a separate compute appliance?
No. The X72 runs Poly Video mode, Device Mode and provider modes such as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms on the bar itself, so even a large room does not need a separate compute box. You will still need the meeting platform licence your organisation uses.
How does the X72 compare with the older Studio X70?
The Studio X70 is the previous-generation large-room bar. HP's current all-in-one comparison page lists the X32, X52 and X72 only, and the X72 is the model HP publishes current specifications for — dual 20 MP cameras, 7.3x digital zoom, two-way stereo speakers with bass ports and Wi-Fi 6. We stock both; ask us for a side-by-side against your room dimensions.
Is the Studio X72 certified for Google Meet?
HP publishes Microsoft Teams and Zoom certifications for the Studio X72. Google Meet is not among the certifications HP states for this model, so we do not claim it here. If Google Meet is your platform, contact us and we will confirm the current position with HP before you order.
Does the Studio X72 support PoE?
No — the X72 bar uses an external auto-sensing power supply. The TC10 touch controller runs on PoE (IEEE 802.3at Class 0), so the table position needs only a Cat5e run. A wall mount kit is included with the bar.
Does the Poly Studio X72 come with a Singapore warranty and GST invoice?
Yes. Every Poly Studio X72 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
