The NETGEAR GS108X is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switch with one dedicated 10G SFP+ port. The SFP+ fiber uplink gives a long-distance connection of more than 100 m to a core switch, server or another floor (transceiver required). It is plug-and-play — no software to install and no configuration needed.
Non-Blocking, Line-Rate Performance
NETGEAR rates the GS108X at 36 Gbps line-rate switching fabric and a forwarding rate of 41.664 Mfps (64-byte packets), with a 768 KB packet buffer, 16K MAC address table and jumbo frames up to 9,728 bytes. 802.1p / DSCP traffic prioritisation with 8 queues keeps latency-sensitive traffic moving.
Silent, Efficient and Built to Last
The fanless design runs at 0 dBA for noise-sensitive offices and classrooms. The metal case is rugged and durable, maximum power draw is 5.7 W with IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet, and the switch sits on a desk or mounts on a wall with the included wall-mount kit.
