Twelve Copper and Twelve Fibre 10G Ports
The M4300-12X12F provides 12 x 10GBASE-T RJ45 ports (100M / 1G / 10G) and 12 x SFP+ ports (1G / 10G), all independent, on a 480 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric for server, storage and AV aggregation.
Half-Width for Redundant Top-of-Rack
At half-width 1U, two M4300-12X12F switches can be installed side by side in a single rack space for redundant top-of-rack, with a 1G out-of-band management port for dedicated management access.
Stacking with Non-Stop Forwarding
Up to eight M4300 switches can be aggregated into a single virtual chassis, and 10G models stack seamlessly with 1G models. There are no dedicated stacking ports: any 10G port (copper or fibre, RJ45, SFP+ or DAC) can be used. Non-Stop Forwarding (NSF) gives hitless failover from the management unit to the redundant management unit, and the stack is seen by the rest of the network as a single bridge or router.
Zero-Touch Pro AV Multicast
NETGEAR IGMP Plus provides automatic Layer 2 multicast out of the box: IGMP Snooping, IGMP Fast Leave and IGMP Querier are already enabled, giving zero-touch AV-over-IP with pre-configured L2 multicast (SDVoE-ready).
Layer 3 Routing with No Licence
The entire M4300 feature set, including L2 switching with IGMP Plus and L3 routing (static, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM-SSM and policy-based routing) plus PTPv2, is available without a licence. Manage it through the industry-standard CLI, the NETGEAR web GUI or SNMP, with sFlow and RSPAN for visibility.

Ships with one NETGEAR APS250W modular PSU in a single modular bay. A spare APS250W is available.
Transceivers & cabling
The 12 SFP+ ports accept 1G and 10G SFP/SFP+ optics and DAC cables; the 12 10GBASE-T ports run at 100M, 1G or 10G over copper.
Stacking
Stacks with other M4300 models (up to 8 switches), including mixing 1G and 10G models. Any 10G port, copper or fibre, can be configured for stacking.
Software features
Full Layer 2 and Layer 3 feature set with no licence: static routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM-SSM, policy-based routing, PTPv2 and NETGEAR IGMP Plus automatic multicast. Managed via industry-standard CLI, web GUI and SNMP, with sFlow and RSPAN.
