24 Gigabit Ports with Four 10G Uplinks
The M4300-28G gives you 24 x 1G copper ports plus 2 x 10GBASE-T and 2 x SFP+ 10G ports, all independent, on a 128Gbps non-blocking fabric. Use the 10G ports for fibre or copper uplinks to the core, a fast link to servers or NAS, or for stacking.
Stack up to 8 Switches with Nonstop Forwarding
Up to eight M4300 switches can be stacked into one managed virtual chassis, mixing 1G and 10G models. On the 1G models up to four 10G ports per switch can be used for stacking, in spine-and-leaf or dual-ring topologies. Nonstop Forwarding (NSF) with hitless management failover keeps traffic flowing if a stack member fails.
Layer 3 Routing Included - No Licence Required
The entire M4300 feature set is available without a licence: static routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM and policy-based routing (PBR) for IPv4 and IPv6 where supported, plus 4K VLANs and a 16Mb packet buffer. Manage it through the web GUI, the industry-standard CLI, or NETGEAR's NMS300 single-pane-of-glass platform with mass configuration, and keep a dual firmware image and configuration file for safer updates.
Redundant Modular Power, Quiet Operation
Two modular PSU bays with one APS150W installed; add a second APS150W for 1+1 redundancy. Front-to-back airflow and low 30.3dB acoustics at 25°C make it comfortable in offices and AV racks. NETGEAR IGMP Plus handles multicast for Pro AV installs at Layer 2 without PIM complexity.

Compatibility & Software Support
Power Supplies
Two modular power supply bays. One APS150W is installed; the second bay ships with a blank cover. Add a second NETGEAR APS150W (APS150W-100NES) for redundant power. The APS150W is the power supply NETGEAR specifies for the M4300-28G and M4300-52G.
Stacking with Other M4300 Models
Stacks with other M4300 switches (1G and 10G models can be mixed) up to 8 units, using the 10G ports. Stacked switches are managed as one unit with Nonstop Forwarding.
Management & Software
Web GUI, CLI and NETGEAR NMS300 management. Full L2/L3 feature set including IGMP Plus, static routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM and PBR is included without a licence. Firmware and the user manual are available from NETGEAR support.
Uplink Transceivers
The two SFP+ ports accept 1G or 10G SFP/SFP+ modules (sold separately). Ask us to confirm a module before ordering.

Does it support PoE?
No. The GSM4328S is the non-PoE version. For PoE+ choose the GSM4328PA (550W PSU) or GSM4328PB (1000W PSU).
Do I need a licence for Layer 3 routing?
No. Static, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, PIM and policy-based routing are all included without a licence.
Can I stack it with other M4300 switches?
