Power for M4300 PoE+ PA Models
The APS550W is the 550W modular power supply that ships in the NETGEAR M4300-28G-PoE+ (GSM4328PA) and M4300-52G-PoE+ (GSM4352PA). Use it as a replacement, as a shelf spare, or as the second supply in the switch.
More PoE with a Second PSU
According to the M4300 datasheet, a GSM4328PA delivers a 480W PoE budget with one PSU and 720W with two PSUs in EPS mode; a GSM4352PA delivers 480W with one PSU and 1,010W with two PSUs in EPS mode.
Hot-Swap Replacement
NETGEAR states that in models with more than one PSU the power supplies are hot-pluggable, so a unit can be replaced without powering down the switch.
