The ThinkVision S27i-30 is a 27-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display at 300 cd/m² and 100 Hz, and it is the only monitor in this value group with two HDMI inputs. A desktop and a laptop, or a PC and a media player, can both stay connected and be switched from the monitor's own menu.
Substantial Corrections to This Listing
Our previous version of this page was wrong in three material ways. It claimed USB ports — Lenovo publishes none. It claimed a DisplayPort input — there is none. And it claimed a height-adjustable, rotating stand — Lenovo publishes tilt only, -5° to +22°, with no height adjustment, no swivel and no pivot. All three are corrected below.

Compatibility & Fit
Two HDMI inputs is the reason to pick this one. Nothing else in this value group has them. A desktop PC and a laptop can both stay plugged in permanently, switched from the monitor's own controls, without an external switch or crawling behind the desk. On a shared desk, a training position or a home office running two machines, that alone is worth the choice.
What we got wrong before, and what is true. The previous version of this page said this monitor had USB ports, a DisplayPort input, height adjustment and screen rotation. None of those is correct. Lenovo publishes no USB of any kind, no DisplayPort, and a tilt-only stand at -5° to +22°. We are stating the correction rather than quietly editing it out, because someone may have bought on the old description.
The stand, and the fix. Tilt only, fixed height. On a 27-inch panel, height adjustment matters more than on a small one. The VESA 100 x 100 mm mount means an arm gives you full height, swivel and rotation for a modest addition — usually better value than moving up a range. Ask us to quote arms with the monitors.
Pixel density, stated plainly. 1920 x 1080 across 27 inches is a 0.311 mm pixel pitch. Everything is physically larger than on a 24-inch, and slightly softer. If sharpness matters more than size, a 27-inch QHD such as the ThinkVision T27Q-40 is the better buy and we can quote one against this.
Where the E and S series sit in Lenovo's own words. Lenovo positions the ThinkVision E series as "Comfortable Viewing for Everyday Users" and the S series as "Basic Displays for Simple Experiences", against "Enhanced Productivity" for the T series and "Best-in-Class Performance" for the P series. Lenovo publishes no expansion of what the letters stand for, so neither do we. In practice the difference that matters on a desk is the stand: most E and S models are tilt-only, while every T and P model offers 155 mm of height adjustment, swivel and pivot.
