A 23.8-Inch VA Monitor at 3000:1 — and It Is Flat, Not Curved
The C24-40 is a 23.8-inch 1920 x 1080 Vertical Alignment display with 3000:1 typical contrast, three times the 1000:1 of a standard IPS panel. Despite the C in its name, Lenovo publishes no curvature for it — this is a flat panel, and we would rather correct that assumption here than have you discover it on delivery.
Lenovo Calls It a "Lenovo C24-40", Not a ThinkVision
Worth stating: Lenovo's PSREF files this product under Lenovo Monitors as the Lenovo C24-40, not under ThinkVision. Lenovo's own regional storefronts — including Singapore — title the identical part number "ThinkVision C24-40". Both names come from Lenovo. The specification sheet we link will say Lenovo C24-40.
The Certification Sheet Is Much Thinner Than the ThinkVisions Beside It
This matters if you buy against a procurement checklist. Lenovo publishes only RoHS and TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort for this model — no EPEAT and no TCO certification at all, where every ThinkVision in this ordering table holds EPEAT Gold or Silver and TCO 8.0 or 9.0. If a tender requires EPEAT or TCO on every line, this monitor does not clear it and the others do.
Our Previous Listing Called It IPS. It Is Not.
The earlier version of this page said "Display Type: IPS" and gave dimensions with the height and depth transposed. Lenovo's specification says VA — which is also what makes the 3000:1 contrast possible — and the dimensions below are as Lenovo publishes them.

Compatibility & Fit
The name, first, because it causes confusion. Lenovo's PSREF database files this product under Lenovo Monitors as the Lenovo C24-40. Lenovo's own Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and Malaysia storefronts sell the identical part number as the ThinkVision C24-40. Both are Lenovo's names for the same monitor. We use ThinkVision here because that is how it reaches the Singapore channel; the PSREF PDF we link says Lenovo C24-40.
It is flat. The "C" does not stand for curved, or at least Lenovo publishes no curvature figure of any kind for this model. If you want a curved display, the T34WD-40 (1500R) and the P34WD-40 (3800R) are genuinely curved; this one is not.
What 3000:1 contrast buys you. A VA panel's strength is black level. At 3000:1 against 1000:1 to 1300:1 on the IPS models beside it, dark backgrounds look genuinely dark rather than dark grey. That suits dark-mode applications, video, and rooms with controlled lighting. The trade is that VA behaves differently off-axis from IPS, although Lenovo publishes 178° viewing angles for both.
Read the certification line before you tender. This is the one specification where the C24-40 differs sharply from everything else in this ordering table. Lenovo publishes only RoHS and TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort — no EPEAT, no TCO, no Eyesafe, no EU energy label. Every ThinkVision here carries EPEAT and TCO. If your procurement scores environmental certification line by line, this monitor will lose points the others do not. If it does not, the C24-40's 3000:1 panel is good value.
75 Hz on HDMI only. Lenovo publishes 75 Hz over HDMI; the VGA input runs at 60 Hz. Connect over HDMI if you want the higher rate.

That is Lenovo's own filing, not an error on our part — Lenovo's regional storefronts sell the same part number under the ThinkVision name. The specifications are the same either way.

Is it a curved monitor?
No. Lenovo publishes no curvature figure for this model at all — it is a flat panel. The "C" in the name does not indicate a curve. If you want curved, the T34WD-40 at 1500R and the P34WD-40 at 3800R are genuinely curved ultrawides.
Is the panel IPS or VA?
VA. Our earlier version of this page said IPS, which was wrong. The VA panel is what makes the 3000:1 contrast possible — roughly three times what an IPS panel of this class manages.
Is it ENERGY STAR certified?
Lenovo's two documents disagree, so we will not claim it. The PSREF specification sheet publishes ENERGY STAR measurements (13.2 W power-on, 42.3 kWh TEC) but does not list ENERGY STAR among the certifications; Lenovo's datasheet claims "Energy Star Tier 1". We show you both rather than pick the more flattering one. If an ENERGY STAR certificate is a procurement requirement, ask us and we will get it confirmed by Lenovo in writing.
Does it hold EPEAT or TCO certification?
No. Lenovo publishes neither for this model, where every ThinkVision in this ordering table holds EPEAT Gold or Silver and TCO 8.0 or 9.0. If your tender scores environmental certification, this is the one monitor here that will not clear it — and it is better to know that before you submit.
Does the stand adjust for height?
No. Lenovo publishes tilt only, -5° to +22°, on a fixed-height stand — there is no height adjustment, no swivel and no pivot. That is the main thing separating this monitor from the ThinkVision T-series, which offers 155 mm of lift. If getting the screen to eye level matters — and for anyone at a desk all day it should — budget for a VESA 100 x 100 mm monitor arm, which we can quote alongside.
Does it have USB ports?
No. Lenovo publishes no USB ports of any kind on this model. If you need a monitor that also acts as a USB hub, or that docks a laptop over USB-C, the ThinkVision T-series and P-series are the ranges to look at — tell us what the desk needs and we will point you at the right one.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
