Lenovo ThinkVision S24-4e 23.8" Monitor
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Lenovo ThinkVision S24-4e (64B5KAR1MY) - 3 Years Local Warranty
The 23.8-Inch Full HD IPS Standard, at 100 Hz
The ThinkVision S24-4e is the size most desks settle on, specified sensibly: 23.8-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS at 100 Hz, 99% sRGB coverage, 1300:1 contrast and 178° viewing angles in both axes, in a 3-side NearEdgeless chassis weighing 3 kg.
A Correction to This Listing
Our previous version of this page stated a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Lenovo publishes 1300:1 for this model. The page also gave no refresh rate at all, where Lenovo publishes 100 Hz, and quoted a 43.2 mm depth that is the panel thickness rather than the product's depth on its stand. All three are corrected here.
The Honest List of What It Does Not Have
No USB ports. No speakers. No headphone jack. A tilt-only stand with no height adjustment. Two video inputs, HDMI 1.4 and VGA. If any of those matter, say so before you order and we will point you at a T-series model instead — we would rather lose the line than have it returned.
Where the 4e Range Sits
Lenovo's S series is positioned as "Basic Displays for Simple Experiences", and the 4e models are the current generation of it. What Lenovo has not cut is the panel: IPS, 99% sRGB, 178°. What it has cut is the stand and the connectivity, which is a reasonable trade at this price and a bad surprise if nobody tells you.
Specification note. Every figure on this page is taken from Lenovo's own PSREF specification sheet for the ThinkVision S24-4e, with any item drawn from Lenovo's product datasheet instead labelled as such in the table. Lenovo publishes monitor specifications per model rather than per part number — the PSREF sheet we link does not itself list this SKU, and the suffix on a part number governs market and packaging rather than the panel or the ports. Where Lenovo publishes no figure, this page says so rather than estimating one, and where two Lenovo documents disagree we show the disagreement. Specifications and prices are subject to change by Lenovo without notice.

Compatibility & Fit
Choosing within the 4e family. All three are IPS, 1920 x 1080, 100 Hz, 99% sRGB, tilt-only and without USB or audio. The differences are size and panel figures: the S22-4e at 21.5 inches is the most efficient at 10.5 W with a C-class energy label; this S24-4e at 23.8 inches is the standard desk size; the S27-4e at 27 inches is brighter at 300 cd/m² and higher-contrast at 1500:1, but spreads the same 1920 x 1080 across a much larger panel. All three are in the ordering table above.
The stand is the thing to plan around. Tilt only, -5° to +22°. Lenovo's own dimension table gives identical highest and lowest positions, which is as clear a confirmation as you will get. The monitor has a VESA 100 x 100 mm pattern, so a basic arm gives you full height, swivel and rotation for a modest addition — often the better-value route to an adjustable desk than moving up a range. Ask us to quote arms with the monitors.
Two inputs, and only one of them modern. HDMI 1.4 and VGA. The HDMI cable is in the box; the VGA cable is not. There is no DisplayPort and no way to switch between two modern sources without an external switch.
Where the E and S series sit in Lenovo's own words. Lenovo positions the ThinkVision E series as "Comfortable Viewing for Everyday Users" and the S series as "Basic Displays for Simple Experiences", against "Enhanced Productivity" for the T series and "Best-in-Class Performance" for the P series. Lenovo publishes no expansion of what the letters stand for, so neither do we. In practice the difference that matters on a desk is the stand: most E and S models are tilt-only, while every T and P model offers 155 mm of height adjustment, swivel and pivot.

Datasheet & Downloads
PSREF is Lenovo's own Product Specifications Reference and is the source for every figure on this page unless the table says otherwise. PSREF publishes its spec sheets per model rather than per part number, so this SKU does not appear inside the PDF itself; a per-part-number detail page also exists at psref.lenovo.com and will render in a normal browser if you need this exact configuration confirmed before ordering. Ask us and we will pull it for you.
Frequently Asked Questions — Lenovo ThinkVision S24-4e
What is the contrast ratio, and what is the refresh rate?
1300:1 typical and 100 Hz. Our earlier version of this page said 1000:1 and gave no refresh rate at all. Both figures come from Lenovo's PSREF specification sheet for this model.
Does it have USB ports?
No. Lenovo publishes no USB ports of any kind on this model. If you need a monitor that also acts as a USB hub, or that docks a laptop over USB-C, the ThinkVision T-series and P-series are the ranges to look at — tell us what the desk needs and we will point you at the right one.
Does the stand adjust for height?
No. Lenovo publishes tilt only, -5° to +22°, on a fixed-height stand — there is no height adjustment, no swivel and no pivot. That is the main thing separating this monitor from the ThinkVision T-series, which offers 155 mm of lift. If getting the screen to eye level matters — and for anyone at a desk all day it should — budget for a VESA 100 x 100 mm monitor arm, which we can quote alongside.
How does it compare with the S24i-30?
Very closely — both are 23.8-inch Full HD IPS at 100 Hz with 99% sRGB, 1300:1 contrast and tilt-only stands. The S24i-30 adds a 3.5 mm audio-out and publishes an ENERGY STAR power-on figure and TEC; this model publishes an E-class EU energy label and a slightly lower typical draw. If the desk needs a headphone socket on the monitor, take the S24i-30.
What warranty applies in Singapore?
Lenovo PSREF states a 3-year limited warranty as the base warranty for this model, and every unit SourceIT sells comes with local Singapore warranty support and a GST invoice.
