The Eaton 9PX 9PX1500IRT2U is a 1500 VA / 1500 W online double-conversion UPS for server rooms, comms racks and branch offices in Singapore. Every watt your equipment draws is regenerated as a clean 230 V sine wave, so servers, storage, switches and firewalls are isolated from sags, surges, frequency drift and the noise that building loads push onto shared circuits.
Eaton rates the 9PX at unity power factor (VA = W), so the full 1500 W is usable, not just a fraction of the VA figure. That makes sizing simple for modern IT loads with power-factor-corrected power supplies.
2U Rack or Tower — One Unit for Either Install
The 9PX1500IRT2U ships with 19-inch mounting brackets, a rack-mounting kit and tower supports in the box, so the same unit can go into a 19-inch cabinet at 2U or stand upright under a desk. A multilingual graphical LCD gives local status, and Eaton notes the 9PX meters energy consumption down to its managed outlet groups.
Wide Input Window and High Efficiency
Eaton specifies an input range of 176–276 V without touching the battery (down to 100 V with derating) and a 40–70 Hz input frequency window. Efficiency at maximum load is 92.5% per Eaton, and the unit is ENERGY STAR certified, which keeps heat and running costs down in small, closed server rooms.
Hot-Swappable Batteries and Expandable Runtime
Internal batteries and external battery modules (EBMs) are hot-swappable, so battery service does not mean downtime. Eaton's Advanced Battery Management (ABM) charging extends battery life, and up to 4 optional EBMs can be added for longer runtime. Monitoring and Shutdown Software
The HID-compliant USB port lets most operating systems see the UPS as a power source without extra drivers. Eaton Intelligent Power Protector handles automatic shutdown of a directly connected server; Eaton Intelligent Power Manager adds centralised monitoring and virtualisation integration (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix Xen and Red Hat are listed by Eaton as compatible environments). For SNMP/web monitoring, fit an optional Eaton network card in the communication slot.
