The APC Smart-UPS SRT 19 inch Rail Kit (SRTRK4) is the tower-to-rack conversion kit Schneider Electric names for the smaller Smart-UPS SRT chassis — the 1 kVA, 1.5 kVA, 2.2 kVA and 3 kVA on-line models. The SRT tower units in this range, SRT1000XLI, SRT1500XLI, SRT2200XLI and SRT3000XLI, ship without rails, and Schneider's product page for the SRT1000XLI describes it as rack/tower convertible with the SRTRK4 or SRTRK3 sold separately. This is that kit: a pair of grey 19-inch rails with the rack mounting brackets and hardware to hang the chassis in a four-post cabinet.
What the Kit Contains and How It Fits
Schneider lists the package as an installation guide, mounting hardware and rack mounting brackets. Each rail is 527 mm long, 44 mm high and 89 mm deep, and the pair weighs 2.72 kg net. Schneider's rail kit FAQ states the SRTRK4 rails can be physically extended up to 36 inches (91.44 cm) between the front and rear posts, which comfortably covers the 600 mm to 1,000 mm deep cabinets found in Singapore comms rooms; the same FAQ cautions that cabinet vertical rails have tolerances, so expect to adjust the depth for a snug fit. The kit is intended for four-post mounting, so confirm your cabinet has rear vertical rails before ordering.
Why Not Just Buy the Rackmount Model?
If the deployment is rack-mounted from day one, the RMXLI models — SRT1000RMXLI, SRT1500RMXLI, SRT2200RMXLI and SRT3000RMXLI — already include the rail kit and are the simpler order. The SRTRK4 is for the other cases: a tower unit bought for a desk-side or floor installation that is now moving into a cabinet, a site consolidation, a tender that specified the XLI part number, or a replacement for a lost set of rails. Order by Part Number, Not by kVA Alone
APC rail kits are chassis-specific. The SRTRK4 fits the SRT 1–3 kVA chassis only; the SRT 5–10 kVA chassis take the SRTRK2, the Smart-UPS RT (SRTG) 15–20 kVA units take the SRTGRK1, and the older Smart-UPS RT (SURT) range has its own SURTRK2. Which UPS models does the SRTRK4 fit?
Schneider Electric prints the SRTRK4 as the 19-inch rail kit used with the 1, 1.5, 2.2 and 3 kVA Smart-UPS SRT, and the Schneider product page for the SRT1000XLI names the SRTRK4 or SRTRK3 as the rail kit sold separately. At SourceIT that means:

Not for the larger SRT chassis. The SRT 5 kVA to 10 kVA tower models (SRT5KXLI, SRT6KXLI, SRT8KXLI, SRT10KXLI) take the SRTRK2 rail kit instead. The Smart-UPS RT (SRTG) 15 and 20 kVA units use the SRTGRK1, and the older Smart-UPS RT (SURT) range uses the SURTRK2. Rail kits are chassis-specific — order by the UPS part number, not by kVA alone.
Cabinet fit
Depth. Schneider's FAQ on the Smart-UPS four-post rail kits states the SRTRK4 rails can be extended up to 36 inches (91.44 cm), and cautions that cabinet vertical rails have tolerances that may require adjusting the depth for a proper fit. Allow for the UPS chassis depth plus the bend radius of the output leads and any external battery pack cabling behind the unit when you choose the cabinet. The minimum post-to-post depth is not published by Schneider Electric; send us your cabinet's rail-to-rail measurement and we will confirm.
Posts. This is a four-post kit. The rack post hole type supported (square, round or threaded) is not published on the Schneider product page, so if your cabinet uses anything other than standard square-hole posts, check the instruction sheet linked in the Downloads section or ask us before ordering.
Weight and position. The SRT 1–3 kVA chassis are far lighter than the 5–10 kVA units, but a UPS is still the heaviest item in most small cabinets: mount it low, and if you are adding a rackmount battery pack (SRT48RMBP, SRT72RMBP or SRT96RMBP) place it directly beneath the UPS.

Which UPS models does the SRTRK4 fit?
Schneider Electric prints it as the 19-inch rail kit used with the 1, 1.5, 2.2 and 3 kVA Smart-UPS SRT. In the SourceIT catalogue that is the SRT1000XLI, SRT1500XLI, SRT2200XLI and SRT3000XLI tower units. Some Schneider listings title the kit for the 2.2 and 3 kVA models only; the Singapore product page and the SRT1000XLI product page both include the 1 kVA and 1.5 kVA chassis.
Do I need the SRTRK4 for an RMXLI rackmount model?

Schneider's rail kit FAQ states the SRTRK4 rails extend up to 36 inches (91.44 cm) between posts, so a standard 600 mm, 800 mm or 1,000 mm deep cabinet is within range provided the UPS chassis and its rear cabling fit. The minimum rail depth is not published by Schneider Electric — send us your post-to-post measurement and we will confirm before you order.
Is it a two-post or four-post kit?
Four-post. Schneider files the SRTRK4 under its Smart-UPS four-post rail kit FAQ, so make sure your cabinet has rear vertical rails fitted.
How much rack space will my converted UPS take?
The rails add no U of their own. The 1 kVA, 1.5 kVA and 3 kVA SRT chassis occupy 2U when racked, the same as the equivalent RMXLI models.
Do the SRT battery packs need this kit too?
No. The rackmount packs (SRT48RMBP, SRT72RMBP, SRT96RMBP) ship with their own rails. The tower packs (SRT48BP, SRT72BP, SRT96BP) stand beside the tower UPS and are not rail-mounted.
Is the SRTRK4 covered by warranty in Singapore?
