Console placement and throw distance

The EH-LS800B is an ultra short throw projector and belongs on a level, rigid console or low cabinet hard against the projection wall rather than on a ceiling mount. Epson publishes a throw ratio of 0.16 at wide zoom and 0.40 at tele, a 90-inch image at 0.32 m measured from the end of the unit, and a screen size range of 32 to 150 inches. The body is 341 x 695 x 156 mm including feet and weighs 12.3 kg, so the cabinet needs to take a 695 mm width and that load, with airflow around the chassis.

What it connects to

Three HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.3 cover a set-top box, a games console, a media player and a laptop, with ARC on HDMI 2 for a soundbar or AV receiver. Three USB type A ports handle storage, an RJ45 adaptor, a camera, a microphone or an HID device, with the third reserved for 5 V / 2 A power. A USB B port is for firmware updates. Audio can also leave by stereo mini jack or S/PDIF. Wireless is built in for the Android TV platform, so a separate streaming box is usually unnecessary.

What is an ultra short throw laser projection TV?

It is a projector built to sit on a console directly in front of the projection wall instead of being ceiling-mounted at the back of the room.
