Poly CCX 505 Business Media Phone with Open SIP and PoE
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Poly CCX 505 Business Media Phone with Open SIP and PoE (82Z82AA) - Local Warranty
Poly CCX 505 Open SIP Business Media Phone
The Poly CCX 505 Open SIP brings integrated dual-band Wi-Fi to HP's 5-inch CCX touchscreen platform for standards-based SIP deployments. A 720 x 1280 multitouch display, Poly HD Voice with Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlock AI, Bluetooth 4.2, dual USB ports and 802.3af PoE make it the flexible choice for offices that cannot cable every desk.
Open SIP with Integrated Wi-Fi
Standards-based SIP registration keeps you free to choose your hosted cloud PBX, SIP trunk provider or on-premise IP-PBX, while integrated Wi-Fi on 2.4–2.4835 GHz (802.11b/g/n HT-20) and 5.15–5.825 GHz (802.11a/n HT-20, 802.11n HT-40) frees the phone from a fixed network drop.
Poly Acoustic Fence and NoiseBlock AI Audio
The CCX 505 datasheet lists Poly HD Voice, Poly Acoustic Clarity, Poly Acoustic Fence and Poly NoiseBlock AI, with a 100 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and codec support across G.711, G.722 (HD Voice), G.722.1, G.729AB, iLBC and OPUS. Hearing-aid compatibility meets ITU-T P.370 and TIA 504A.
Bluetooth 4.2, Dual USB and Gigabit Pass-Through
Bluetooth 4.2 pairs wireless headsets; one USB 2.0 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-C port handle wired peripherals; an RJ-9 port with EHS support covers traditional headsets. A two-port gigabit Ethernet switch shares one desk drop with the PC when wired, and built-in 802.3af PoE (Class 0) supplies power at 13 W maximum.
Ideal For Flexible SIP Deployments
The CCX 505 Open SIP suits Singapore offices on a hosted or on-premise SIP platform with hot desks, meeting rooms or fit-out constraints where Wi-Fi placement is the practical answer.

Compatibility & Software Support
Platform and certification
This is the Open SIP edition, built on standards-based SIP so it registers against a broad range of hosted and on-premise platforms — the usual Singapore mix of SIP trunking providers, cloud PBX services and on-site IP-PBX systems. Provisioning follows the standard Poly UC methods (DHCP option, provisioning server URL and configuration files), so it drops into an existing Poly UC estate without a separate management stack.
Wireless deployment
Integrated Wi-Fi covers 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n HT-20) and 5 GHz (802.11a/n HT-20 and 802.11n HT-40). The phone still needs power — over PoE from a network cable, or from the optional external supply if you are running it on Wi-Fi only.
Headsets and peripherals
Integrated Bluetooth 4.2, one USB 2.0 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-C port, a dedicated RJ-9 headset port and EHS support.
Operating system and software
HP lists this model as running Android 9. Firmware and configuration updates are delivered through your provisioning server or through Poly Lens.
Poly Lens device management
The Poly CCX 350, 400, 500, 505, 600 and 700 are all listed as supported devices in Poly Lens, HP's cloud device-management service. Lens gives IT a single place to see deployed phones, push firmware and configuration, and monitor device health across the fleet — useful for Singapore offices standardising on one desk phone across several sites.

Frequently Asked Questions — Poly CCX 505
What is the difference between the CCX 505 Open SIP and the Microsoft Teams version?
Same hardware, different edition and firmware. This listing (82Z82AA) is the Open SIP build for standards-based SIP platforms; the CCX 505 for Microsoft Teams (82Z79AA) runs the native Teams interface and needs a Teams Phone licence.
What does the CCX 505 add over the CCX 500 Open SIP?
Integrated dual-band Wi-Fi. The CCX 500 Open SIP shares the display, Bluetooth 4.2, dual USB ports and 802.3af PoE but has no built-in Wi-Fi.
Can it run on Wi-Fi with no network cable?
It can connect over Wi-Fi, but it still needs power. Without a cable there is no PoE, so budget for the optional external power supply at those positions.
Will it register to my SIP platform?
The phone is standards-based Open SIP and registers to most hosted and on-premise platforms. Tell us which platform you run and we will confirm provisioning and firmware requirements before you order.
Does it support wireless headsets?
Yes — integrated Bluetooth 4.2, plus USB and RJ-9/EHS connections for wired and DECT headsets.
Should I choose this or the CCX 600 Open SIP?
The CCX 600 Open SIP has a larger 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen but requires 802.3at PoE (Class 4, 25 W). The CCX 505 keeps the 5-inch display and runs on 802.3af at 13 W, which is easier on an older PoE switch budget.
Does this phone come with a Singapore warranty?
Yes. Every Poly CCX 505 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
