This is the native Microsoft Teams edition. HP certifies the CCX range for Microsoft Teams, and the phone runs a dedicated Teams interface rather than a SIP softkey UI — sign-in, calls, contacts, voicemail and calendar all come from the Teams service. It is provisioned and licensed like any other Teams phone, through Microsoft Teams admin centre and a Teams Phone licence on the user account.

Zoom and platform editions

HP's CCX 500/505 product page states the range is certified for Microsoft Teams and certified for Zoom; the certification that applies to a given unit is the edition it ships as. This listing is the native Microsoft Teams edition. The matching Open SIP build is the CCX 505 Open SIP (82Z82AA).

Wireless deployment

Integrated Wi-Fi covers 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n HT-20) and 5 GHz (802.11a/n HT-20 and 802.11n HT-40). Note that the phone still needs power — over PoE from a network cable, or from the optional external supply if you are running it on Wi-Fi only.

Operating system and software

HP lists this model as running Android 9. Firmware and configuration updates are delivered through your provisioning server or through Poly Lens.

Poly Lens device management

The Poly CCX 350, 400, 500, 505, 600 and 700 are all listed as supported devices in Poly Lens, HP's cloud device-management service. Lens gives IT a single place to see deployed phones, push firmware and configuration, and monitor device health across the fleet — useful for Singapore offices standardising on one desk phone across several sites.

What does the CCX 505 add over the CCX 500?

Integrated dual-band Wi-Fi. HP calls out Wi-Fi as the CCX 505 differentiator; the 5-inch 720 x 1280 touchscreen, Bluetooth 4.2, dual USB ports and 802.3af PoE are shared with the CCX 500.

Can I run the CCX 505 entirely over Wi-Fi?

The phone connects over Wi-Fi, but it still needs power. With no network cable there is no PoE, so plan for the optional external power supply at that position.

Which Wi-Fi standards does it support?

HP specifies 2.4–2.4835 GHz (802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n HT-20) and 5.15–5.825 GHz (802.11a, 802.11n HT-20, 802.11n HT-40).

Is this the Microsoft Teams or Open SIP version?

This listing (82Z79AA) is the native Microsoft Teams edition. The Open SIP build is the CCX 505 Open SIP (82Z82AA).

Should I choose the CCX 505 or the CCX 600?

Screen size and power budget are the deciding factors. The CCX 600 has a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen and needs 802.3at PoE (Class 4, 25 W); the CCX 505 keeps the 5-inch display and runs on 802.3af at 13 W. Both have Bluetooth 4.2 and integrated Wi-Fi.

Does it work with a wireless headset?

Yes — integrated Bluetooth 4.2, plus USB and RJ-9/EHS connections for wired and DECT headsets.

Does this phone come with a Singapore warranty?
