8 PoE++ and 16 PoE+ Ports with a 420 W Budget
The NETGEAR GS728TXUP (hardware version 3) is a 28-port Smart switch with 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports: 8 are IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 PoE++ and 16 are IEEE 802.3at PoE+, sharing a 420 W PoE budget — ready to power higher-power 802.3bt devices alongside IP phones, IP cameras and wireless access points.
4 Dedicated 10G SFP+ Uplinks
Four dedicated 1000/10GBASE-X SFP+ ports provide 10G fibre or DAC uplinks. NETGEAR rates the switch at 128 Gbps switching capacity and a 95.24 Mpps forwarding rate, with a 16K MAC address table and 1.5 MB packet buffer.
PoE Self-Healing, Timer and Scheduling
PoE self-healing automatically recovers connected powered devices when they become unresponsive or stop working properly. PoE timer and scheduling lets you switch PoE ports on or off on a schedule or remotely to save energy and tighten security.
Local Web Management or Optional Insight Cloud Management
Manage the switch locally through the web browser GUI or Lite CLI, or optionally through NETGEAR Insight for remote/cloud management from the Insight mobile app or Insight Cloud portal. Smart Layer 2+ features include 256 VLANs with private VLANs, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, LACP link aggregation, DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, 802.1X, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection and dual firmware images.
