The NETGEAR GS728TX (hardware version 3) is a 28-port Smart switch with 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports and 4 dedicated 1000/10GBASE-X SFP+ ports for 10G fibre or DAC uplinks to a core switch, server or NAS. NETGEAR rates it at 128 Gbps switching capacity and a 95.24 Mpps forwarding rate, with a 16K MAC address table and 1.5 MB packet buffer.
Local Web Management or Optional Insight Cloud Management
Manage the switch locally through NETGEAR's web browser GUI or Lite CLI, or optionally bring it under NETGEAR Insight for remote/cloud management from the Insight mobile app or Insight Cloud portal — with centralised VLAN, ACL, QoS and LAG policies across multiple sites.
Smart Layer 2+ Features for Converged Networks
256 VLANs with private VLANs, IPv4/IPv6 static routing (32 routes each), LACP link aggregation (16 LAGs, up to 8 members), DiffServ QoS, IGMP snooping, 802.1X, DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection, plus dual firmware images.
Rack-Ready and Quiet
