Logitech Tap Meeting Room Touch Controller
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Logitech Tap Meeting Room Touch Controller with Cat5e Kit (939-001950) - 2 Years Local Warranty
Logitech Tap Touch Controller for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
The Logitech Tap is a purpose-built, USB-connected meeting room touch controller for video conferencing room solutions. Logitech certifies Tap as a touch controller for Google Meet, GoToRoom, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Pexip Room, RingCentral Rooms and Zoom Rooms, so a single hardware standard can be rolled out across a mixed platform estate. Tap connects to the room computer over USB and drives the room camera, microphones and display from one always-on console on the table.
10.1-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen Built for Daily Meeting Room Use
Tap uses a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 LCD with LED backlighting, 400 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and an 85° viewing angle in every direction. The panel is capacitive with 10-point multi-touch and carries an oleophobic anti-fingerprint, anti-glare coating — a practical detail in Singapore meeting rooms where a controller is touched dozens of times a day. A fixed 14° tilt keeps the screen readable from a seated position without any accessory.
USB-Over-Cat5e Deployment Up to 40 Metres
The included Logitech Cat5e Kit converts Tap's USB connection to structured cabling, so the room PC can sit in a credenza or rack while Tap stays on the table. Logitech supports up to 40 m of total Cat5e cabling, and the box ships with a 2.97 m and a 7.0 m Cat5e cable plus a 2.0 m HDMI 1.4a cable. An internal cable retention and strain relief system keeps the installation tidy, and two Kensington lock slots secure the unit in open or shared spaces.
One-Touch Join, Motion Wake and Wired Content Sharing
An integrated PIR motion sensor wakes the room system as people walk in, so the join button is already waiting. An HDMI input on the Tap handles wired content sharing at 1080p for guests who prefer a cable to a wireless share, and a 3.5 mm 4-pole headset jack is available on the console. Across a fleet, Logitech Sync delivers remote monitoring, firmware updates, provisioning and usage analytics.

Frequently Asked Questions — Logitech Tap
Does the Logitech Tap need a room PC?
Yes. Logitech Tap is a USB-connected touch controller and must be physically connected to a room computer over USB (carried over Cat5e using the included Tap Receiver). Logitech supplies Tap as part of a room solution with a bundled PC. If you want a controller that runs over the network with no room PC and no USB run, use Tap IP paired with an appliance such as Logitech RoomMate or a Rally Bar in appliance mode.
What is the difference between Logitech Tap and Logitech Tap IP?
Tap (939-001950) connects over USB to a room PC, has an HDMI input for wired content sharing and a 3.5 mm headset jack, and is powered by a 12 V adapter. Tap IP (952-000085 / 952-000088) connects over a single Ethernet cable, is powered by PoE (802.3af), has no HDMI ingest port, and pairs over the network with a CollabOS appliance. Tap IP is the newer deployment model and is generally the simpler install.
How far can I run the cable from the room PC to the Tap?
Logitech supports up to 40 m of total Cat5e cabling between the Tap Receiver at the PC and the Tap on the table. The box includes a 2.97 m and a 7.0 m Cat5e cable (9.97 m total); longer runs use customer-supplied Cat5e. Only Cat5e is specified by Logitech — we do not claim Cat6 support.
Which Logitech cameras work with Tap?
Tap is used with USB-connected Logitech conference cameras driven by the room PC, including MeetUp, Rally and Rally Plus room systems, and Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini in USB mode.
Is a Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms licence included?
No. Tap is hardware only. A Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms software licence is purchased separately per room. SourceIT can quote hardware and licensing together for Singapore deployments.
Are the table, riser and wall mounts included?
No. The box includes four VESA screws only. The Tap Table Mount (939-001811), Riser Mount (939-001814), Wall Mount (939-001817) and PC Mount (939-001825) are ordered separately — the Table Mount and Wall Mount are stocked at SourceIT.
Does the Logitech Tap come with local warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every Logitech Tap sold by SourceIT comes with 2 years local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice.
