The Cat5e Kit for Logitech Tap (952-000019) connects a Logitech Tap touch controller to the meeting room computer up to 40 m away, carrying both data and power over category cable. There is no need for a power outlet at the table, and the room PC can sit in a cabinet, behind the display or in a nearby equipment space.
Point-to-Point Connection for Flexible Room Layouts
The kit pairs a Logitech Tap receiver with a dongle transceiver at the computer end and works over Cat5e or higher cable. Two Cat5e cables are included (2.97 m and 7.0 m) for typical layouts, and longer runs up to 40 m can use your own structured cabling. It is a point-to-point USB extension, not a network connection, so it is plugged directly between Tap and the room computer rather than into a network switch.

Compatibility & Installation
The Cat5e Kit is designed for the USB-connected Logitech Tap touch controller. It is not required for Logitech Tap IP, which connects over the network with Power over Ethernet.
A standards-based 802.3af PoE injector, such as the Logitech PoE Injector with Plug Set, may be used in place of the included power supply. A PoE network switch cannot be used, because the kit is a point-to-point link rather than a network connection.
The kit works with the Table Mount, Riser Mount (952-000080) and Wall Mount. Where USB-C over longer distances is needed for other devices, see the Logitech Strong USB cables (10 m, 25 m, 45 m).
