Epson EB-W55 WXGA 3LCD Projector
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Epson EB-W55 WXGA 3LCD Projector (V11HB58052) - 3 Years Singapore Local Warranty
4,000 Lumens with Built-in Wireless LAN as Standard
The EB-W55 combines 4,000 lumens of colour light output and 4,000 lumens of white light output with built-in wireless LAN, so a presenter can connect from a laptop, tablet or phone without a cable and without an add-on adapter. That pairing is what sets it apart from the rest of Epson's portable WXGA range. In a meeting room, classroom or training suite with ceiling lighting on, 4,000 lumens keeps a large image readable, and centre light output is rated at 4,100 lumens. Contrast is 16,000:1.
WXGA 16:10 Widescreen for Slides, Charts and Training Video
Native resolution is WXGA in a 16:10 aspect ratio, matching the shape of most business laptop screens and presentation templates so slides fill the frame without black bars. Epson's 3LCD three-chip engine keeps colour brightness equal to white brightness, which means branded material, pie charts and photographs hold their saturation rather than drifting towards grey. Screens from 33 to 320 inches are supported with one fixed lens, so a single model covers a four-person huddle room and a 40-seat classroom without any change of hardware.
Dual HDMI Inputs and Fast, Simple Set-Up
Two HDMI inputs mean a room PC and a guest laptop can stay connected at the same time — no unplugging mid-meeting and no separate switcher. Keystone correction covers plus or minus 30 degrees vertically and horizontally, so the projector can sit off-axis and still produce a square image. Start-up takes less than 7 seconds to the Epson logo and shutdown is instant off, so the room turns over quickly between back-to-back bookings. A USB Type A port also supplies 5V/2A power to a streaming stick or dongle.
Low Running Costs with a 12,000-Hour Eco Lamp Cycle
The 210 W UHE lamp is rated at 6,000 hours in Normal mode and 12,000 hours in Eco mode, and the electrostatic air filter carries the same 6,000 and 12,000 hour maintenance cycle, so lamp and filter service fall due together rather than on separate visits. Power draw is 332 W with the lamp on in Normal mode, 231 W in Extended mode, and standby drops to 0.3 W in Eco. Fan noise is 37dB in Normal mode and 28dB in Eco, at a weight of approximately 2.6 kg.

Compatibility & Installation
Mounting and placement
At 302 x 234 x 87 mm excluding feet and approximately 2.6 kg, the EB-W55 sits comfortably on a table, a trolley or a lectern shelf, and it will also take a standard ceiling bracket for a permanent room. Keystone correction of plus or minus 30 degrees vertically and horizontally lets it sit off-axis and still square the image up. With a throw ratio of 1.30 to 1.56, a 100-inch image needs roughly 2.8 to 3.4 metres of distance, and screens from 33 to 320 inches are supported.
What it connects to
Two HDMI Type A inputs with HDCP 1.4 let a room PC and a visitor's laptop stay connected simultaneously, which removes the mid-meeting cable swap. Note that Epson does not publish a D-Sub 15-pin computer input or a composite video input for this model — it is an HDMI-and-wireless projector, so a VGA-only laptop or document camera will need a converter. A USB Type A port supports PC Free playback from a USB stick and supplies 5V/2A power for a streaming dongle.
Network, content sharing and management
Wireless LAN is built in to IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, so laptops, tablets and phones can present without a cable and without an optional adapter. There is no wired LAN port published for this model, so if Ethernet-based monitoring across a fleet is a requirement, look at Epson's installation range instead. A USB Type B port handles firmware updates and copying on-screen display settings between units, which saves time when commissioning several identical rooms.
Accessories
The EB-W55 ships with a fixed standard lens. SourceIT can quote replacement lamps, air filters, ceiling mounts and carry cases alongside the projector.

Frequently Asked Questions — Epson EB-W55
Does the EB-W55 have Wi-Fi built in?
Yes. Wireless LAN to IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n is built in as standard, so no optional adapter is needed for wireless presentation. That is the main practical difference from the EB-W06 and EB-W51, which both need the optional ELPAP11 module.
Does it have a VGA input?
No. Epson publishes two HDMI Type A inputs for this model and no D-Sub 15-pin computer input. A VGA-only laptop or document camera will need an HDMI converter.
Is it Full HD?
No. Native resolution is WXGA, 1280 x 800 in 16:10. It accepts Full HD sources and scales them to fit, but the panel itself is WXGA.
How bright is it?
4,000 lumens of colour light output and 4,000 lumens of white light output in Normal mode, dropping to 2,600 lumens white in Eco. Centre light output is rated at 4,100 lumens.
How long does the lamp last?
The 210 W UHE lamp is rated at 6,000 hours in Normal mode and 12,000 hours in Eco mode. The electrostatic air filter has the same maintenance cycle, so both come due at the same service visit.
Can I plug a streaming stick straight into it?
Yes. The USB Type A port supplies 5V/2A, which is enough for most HDMI streaming dongles, and there are two HDMI inputs so the dongle can stay plugged in alongside the room PC.
Is there a network port for remote monitoring?
No wired LAN port is published for this model. For Ethernet-based fleet monitoring, Epson's installation range is the better fit.
What warranty and paperwork do I get?
Every unit sold by SourceIT carries local Singapore warranty and ships with a GST invoice. Three years local warranty applies to this model.
