Smart-UPS On-Line Double Conversion with a 2.4 kWh Lithium-Ion Pack
The APC Smart-UPS SRT Lithium-Ion SRTL3000RM4UXLI is a double-conversion on-line Smart-UPS rated at 3000 VA / 2700 W, supplied as a long-runtime kit: the 2U SRT3000UXI-LI power module with its rail kit, plus one 2U XBP48RM2U-LI lithium-ion external battery pack (48 V, 50 Ah, 2.4 kWh), occupying 4U in total. The load is fed continuously from the inverter on a 230 V sine wave with less than 2% harmonic distortion, so the sags, brownouts and transients of a loaded Singapore riser are absorbed by the rectifier and never reach your servers, storage or network core.
The Smart-UPS On-Line SRT is Schneider's premium on-line platform: switched outlet groups, a SmartSlot for the full range of APC management cards, a 5 to 10 year lithium-ion battery life and a five-year warranty on both the UPS and the pack. It is the right choice for servers, storage, voice and data networks, medical laboratories and light industrial loads.
0.9 Power Factor and 2700 W of Real Power
The SRT is a 0.9 power factor build, delivering 2700 W from 3000 VA. Watts are what limit a UPS, so size on the total continuous watts of the connected load with headroom for start-up surge and growth. Output is provided on six IEC C13 and two IEC C19 outlets, arranged as switched outlet groups so that less critical loads can be shed or rebooted independently from the network card. The input is an IEC 60320 C20 inlet with an operating window of 160–275 V at 40–70 Hz.
Why Lithium-Ion in a Singapore Rack
A lead-acid Smart-UPS in a warm comms room typically needs its cartridges replaced every three to five years. Schneider Electric prints a 5 to 10 year battery life for the XBP48RM2U-LI pack, describes it as minimising the need to replace the battery during the lifetime of the UPS, and gives the pack the same five-year warranty as the UPS.
Runtime and Additional Packs
Schneider Electric does not print runtime minutes on the product page for this kit, so we do not print them. Runtime depends on your load, and the 2.4 kWh pack behind a 2700 W UPS is designed for long hold-up rather than a few minutes of ride-through. 4U Rackmount, Rack/Tower Convertible, Rails Included
The kit occupies 4U: the 2U SRT3000UXI-LI power module and the 2U XBP48RM2U-LI pack (85.5 x 432 x 521 mm, 27 kg). The rail kit for the power module is included, and the pack has its own rack brackets; the SRT is rack/tower convertible, so it can also stand beside a desk-side server. Both units are under 640 mm deep, so a standard 800 mm or 1000 mm server cabinet takes them comfortably.
SmartSlot, Switched Outlet Groups, EPO and PowerChute
The power module carries a multifunction LCD, USB and serial ports, an Emergency Power Off connector and one free SmartSlot, which takes an APC Network Management Card 3 such as AP9640 or AP9641 for SNMP monitoring, alerting and remote outlet-group control over the network. PowerChute Serial Shutdown is Schneider's documented software for graceful unattended shutdown over the USB or serial cable. If you want the network card fitted from the factory, ask us about the -NC version of this kit, which ships with the Network Management Card 3 with environmental monitoring pre-installed.

Outlets and What Can Be Plugged In
The SRTL3000RM4UXLI provides 6 x IEC C13 + 2 x IEC C19 on the output, arranged as switched outlet groups that can be controlled independently from a network card — useful for rebooting a hung switch remotely or shedding non-critical load to extend runtime. Standard IEC leads plug straight in; locking C13 to C14 lead kits such as the AP8704S-WW keep a rack tidy. The input is an IEC 60320 C20 inlet. Size on watts: this is a 0.9 power factor build rated at 2700 W.
Rack Fit
The kit occupies 4U at 171 x 432 x 639 mm assembled, so it fits any standard 800 mm or 1000 mm server cabinet, and the SRT is rack/tower convertible.
Battery and Runtime
The XBP48RM2U-LI is a 48 V, 50 Ah, 2.4 kWh lithium-ion pack with its own battery management system and overvoltage and overtemperature protection, and a 5 to 10 year battery life as printed by Schneider Electric. Input Lead
The datasheet lists one 1.83 m input lead without printing the plug type. A Schuko (CEE 7/7) plug does not fit a Singapore BS 1363 socket; a BS 1363 to IEC lead or an IEC-fed rack PDU is the normal solution. Confirm with us at order time.
Management and Software
The SmartSlot takes an APC Network Management Card 3 such as AP9640 or AP9641; the AP9613 dry-contact card is the option for a building management system. PowerChute Serial Shutdown handles graceful unattended shutdown over USB or serial, and an EPO connector is fitted.
