The APC Smart-UPS SRT Lithium-Ion SRTL1500RMXLI is a double-conversion on-line Smart-UPS rated at 1500 VA / 1350 W, supplied as a compact kit: the 2U SRT1500UXI-LI power module with its rail kit, plus one 1U XBP48RM1U-LI lithium-ion external battery pack (48 V, 585 Wh), occupying 3U in total. The load is fed continuously from the inverter on a 230 V sine wave with less than 2% harmonic distortion, so the sags, brownouts and transients of a loaded Singapore riser never reach your servers, storage or network core.
This is the space-saving member of the lithium-ion SRT family. Where the 4U SRTL1500RM4UXLI pairs the same power module with a 2.4 kWh pack for long runtime, the SRTL1500RMXLI uses the slim 1U, 585 Wh pack for a standard-runtime UPS that still gives you everything else the Smart-UPS SRT platform offers: switched outlet groups, a SmartSlot, a 5 to 10 year lithium-ion battery life and five years of warranty on both UPS and battery.
0.9 Power Factor and 1350 W of Real Power
The SRT is a 0.9 power factor build, delivering 1350 W from 1500 VA. Size on the total continuous watts of the connected load with headroom for start-up surge and growth. Output is provided on eight IEC C13 outlets arranged as switched outlet groups, and the input is an IEC 60320 C14 inlet at 40β70 Hz.
Why Lithium-Ion in a Singapore Rack
A lead-acid Smart-UPS in a warm comms room typically needs its battery cartridges replaced every three to five years. Schneider Electric describes the lithium-ion battery as minimising the need to replace the battery during the lifetime of the UPS, prints a 5 to 10 year battery life, and backs the XBP48RM1U-LI pack with the same five-year repair-or-replace warranty as the UPS. Recharge from flat is six hours as printed by Schneider Electric.
3U Rackmount, Rack/Tower Convertible, Rails Included
The kit occupies 3U and measures 128 x 432 x 590 mm assembled, with a net weight of 30.53 kg, so it fits any standard 800 mm or 1000 mm server cabinet and many deeper comms cabinets. The rail kit is included and removable support feet are supplied for tower use. The 1U pack alone is 43 x 432 x 521 mm and 13.02 kg.
SmartSlot, EPO and PowerChute
The power module carries a multifunction LCD, USB and serial ports, an Emergency Power Off connector and one free SmartSlot, which takes an APC Network Management Card 3 such as AP9640 or AP9641 for SNMP monitoring, alerting and remote outlet-group control. PowerChute Serial Shutdown is Schneider's documented software for graceful unattended shutdown over the USB or serial cable.

Outlets and What Can Be Plugged In
The SRTL1500RMXLI provides 8 x IEC C13 on the output, arranged as switched outlet groups that a network card can control independently. Standard IEC leads plug straight in; locking C13 to C14 lead kits such as the AP8704S-WW keep a rack tidy. The input is an IEC 60320 C14 inlet. Size on watts: this is a 0.9 power factor build rated at 1350 W.
Rack Fit
The kit occupies 3U at 128 x 432 x 590 mm assembled and 30.53 kg net. The 2U power module ships with its rail kit and the 1U XBP48RM1U-LI pack with its brackets; removable support feet are supplied for tower use. At 590 mm deep it suits a standard 800 mm or 1000 mm server cabinet.
Battery and Runtime
The XBP48RM1U-LI is a 48 V, 585 Wh lithium-ion pack with a 5 to 10 year battery life as printed by Schneider Electric and a six-hour recharge. Runtime minutes are not printed on the product page for this kit, so we do not print them. Input Lead
The datasheet does not print the plug type of the supplied input lead. If it arrives with a Schuko (CEE 7/7) plug it will not fit a Singapore BS 1363 (Type G) socket; a BS 1363 to IEC lead of the right rating, or an IEC-fed rack PDU such as the AP9559, is the normal solution. Confirm with us at order time.
Management and Software
The SmartSlot takes an APC Network Management Card 3 such as AP9640 or AP9641 for SNMP monitoring, alerting and outlet-group control; the AP9613 dry-contact card is the option for a building management system. PowerChute Serial Shutdown handles graceful unattended shutdown over the supplied USB or serial cable, and an EPO connector is fitted for a room emergency-stop loop.
