Which UPS models does the SRTRK2 fit?

Schneider Electric prints the SRTRK2 as the 19-inch rail kit for Smart-UPS SRT 5 kVA, 6 kVA, 8 kVA and 10 kVA, and the product pages for the SRT tower units in this range name the SRTRK2 or SRTRK3 as the rail kit sold separately. At SourceIT that means:

Already rackmount? The RMXLI models — SRT5KRMXLI, SRT6KRMXLI, SRT8KRMXLI and SRT10KRMXLI — include the rail kit in the box, so you do not need an SRTRK2 for them.

Not for the smaller SRT chassis. The SRT 1 kVA to 3 kVA tower models (SRT1000XLI, SRT1500XLI, SRT2200XLI, SRT3000XLI) take the SRTRK4 rail kit instead. The larger Smart-UPS RT (SRTG) 15 and 20 kVA units use the SRTGRK1. The older Smart-UPS RT (SURT) range has its own SURTRK2. Rail kits are chassis-specific — order by the UPS part number, not by kVA alone.

Cabinet fit

Depth. Schneider's FAQ on the Smart-UPS four-post rail kits states the SRTRK2 rails can be extended up to 36 inches (91.44 cm), and cautions that cabinet vertical rails have tolerances that may require adjusting the depth for a proper fit. The SRT 5–10 kVA chassis are around 715–720 mm deep, so allow for that plus the hardwire input conduit and the battery-pack cabling behind the unit when you choose the cabinet — an 800 mm cabinet is tight, a 1,000 mm cabinet is comfortable. The minimum post-to-post depth is not published by Schneider Electric; send us your cabinet's rail-to-rail measurement and we will confirm.

Posts. This is a four-post kit; Schneider prints two-post mounting as not available for these chassis. The rack post hole type supported (square, round or threaded) is not published on the Schneider product page, so if your cabinet uses anything other than standard square-hole posts, check the instruction sheet linked in the Downloads section or ask us before ordering.

Weight. Mount the UPS at the bottom of the cabinet and check the rack's static load rating against the chassis weight (54.43 kg for the 5 kVA, 60 kg for the 6 kVA, 111.82 kg for the 10 kVA) plus any rackmount battery packs stacked above it.

Which UPS models does the SRTRK2 fit?
Schneider Electric prints it as the 19-inch rail kit for Smart-UPS SRT 5 kVA, 6 kVA, 8 kVA and 10 kVA. In the SourceIT catalogue that is the SRT5KXLI, SRT6KXLI, SRT8KXLI and SRT10KXLI tower units, each of which Schneider describes as rack/tower convertible with the SRTRK2 or SRTRK3 sold separately.

Do I need the SRTRK2 for an RMXLI rackmount model?
No. The SRT5KRMXLI, SRT6KRMXLI, SRT8KRMXLI and SRT10KRMXLI ship with the rail kit in the box. The SRTRK2 is for converting a tower XLI unit, or replacing a lost or damaged set of rails.

Will it fit an SRT 2.2 kVA or 3 kVA unit?
No. The 1 kVA to 3 kVA SRT chassis are a different size and take the SRTRK4 rail kit. The 15 and 20 kVA Smart-UPS RT units take the SRTGRK1. Order by UPS part number.

How deep a cabinet do I need?
Schneider's rail kit FAQ states the SRTRK2 rails extend up to 36 inches (91.44 cm) between posts. The UPS chassis itself is around 715–720 mm deep, and you need clearance behind it for the hardwire conduit and battery-pack cables, so a 1,000 mm deep cabinet is the comfortable choice; an 800 mm cabinet can work but leaves little room. The minimum rail depth is not published by Schneider Electric — send us your post-to-post measurement and we will confirm.

Is it a two-post or four-post kit?
Four-post. Schneider prints two-post mounting as not available for the SRT 5–10 kVA chassis, which at 54–112 kg is the right call. Make sure your cabinet has rear vertical rails fitted.

How much rack space will my converted UPS take?
The rails add no U of their own. A converted 5 kVA unit occupies 3U, a 6 kVA unit 4U, and the 8 kVA and 10 kVA units 6U — the same as the equivalent RMXLI models.

Do the SRT battery packs need this kit too?
No. The rackmount packs (SRT192RMBP and SRT192RMBP2) ship with their own rails. The tower packs (SRT192BP and SRT192BP2) are floor-standing stacks and are not rail-mounted.

Is the SRTRK2 covered by warranty in Singapore?
Yes. Every APC SRTRK2 sold by SourceIT comes with local Singapore warranty and a GST invoice; APC backs the SRTRK2 with a 24-month manufacturer warranty.
