APC SMT1000RMI2U — 1,000 VA / 700 W Line-Interactive UPS for Singapore 230V Power
The APC Smart-UPS SMT1000RMI2U is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 1,000 VA / 700 W for 230 V single-phase supply — the standard Singapore mains configuration. Line-interactive topology means the UPS sits between your equipment and the PUB grid, filtering and correcting the incoming supply continuously and switching to battery only when the mains falls outside its window. For the brownouts and brief dips that arrive with a Singapore thunderstorm, that is exactly the right behaviour: the load never notices, and the battery is not cycled unnecessarily.
Automatic Voltage Regulation Protects Battery Life
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) is the feature that separates a Smart-UPS from a basic backup unit. When mains voltage sags or surges, AVR corrects it using the transformer rather than dropping to battery.
