The APC Service Bypass Panel (SBP5000RMI2U) lets a larger rack UPS be isolated, serviced or replaced while the load it feeds keeps running on utility power. Schneider's full product name states the configuration: 230 V, 32 A, Break Before Make switching, IEC 320 C20 or hardwire input, and IEC output of two C19 and eight C13 receptacles.
At 32 A and a maximum load of 7,680 VA it is the larger of the two bypass panels SourceIT stocks, suited to the 5 to 6 kVA class of 230 V rack UPS rather than the 1500 to 3000 VA band.
C20 Plug or Hardwire - Decide Before Installation

Built for the Environments a 5kVA Rack Actually Lives In
The panel operates from -20 to 50 °C at 0 to 95% humidity, and stores from -25 to 65 °C - a wider envelope than most rack electronics, which suits plant rooms and industrial cabinets as well as air-conditioned comms rooms.
It is a passive panel: metering, a display, network management and surge protection are not provided. All of those belong to the UPS and the rack PDU around it. Approvals include CSA, GOST, EN/IEC 62040-1 and UL 1778. Supplied and invoiced locally in Singapore with GST.

Compatibility & Load Planning
Which UPS this panel is for. Schneider's user guide for the unit is the "Smart-UPS Service Bypass Panel" guide, whose stated scope is service bypass panels compatible with Smart-UPS and Symmetra UPS systems from 3 kVA to 16 kVA - a guide shared across the whole panel family. What pins this particular panel down is its own rating: 32 A and 7,680 VA maximum, with a C20 or hardwire input. In practice that places it with 5 to 6 kVA class 230 V rack UPS.
Confirm the pairing before you order. Schneider does not publish a per-model compatibility list for this panel that we can verify, and we will not reproduce the reseller cross-reference tables that circulate online - several of them list UPS units of 15 kVA and 20 kVA that a 32 A, 7,680 VA panel plainly cannot serve. Send us your UPS part number and the load schedule and we will confirm the pairing with the distributor in writing.
Input decision: plug or hardwire. The panel accepts an IEC 320 C20 plug input or a hardwired 3-wire connection, and a hardwire panel is supplied in the box. At 32 A many Singapore installations run to a dedicated hardwired circuit. Settle this with your electrical contractor at design stage, because it changes the socket and circuit work required at the rack position.
Outlets and load. Eight C13 and two C19 receptacles, circuit-breaker protected, with 32 A and 7,680 VA as the ceiling for the panel as a whole. Total your connected load before specifying, and remember that in bypass the same load runs on raw utility with no UPS protection.
Break Before Make - what that means operationally. Transfer is not seamless. Treat a bypass transfer as a brief interruption and schedule it accordingly, or stage the transfer while the load is quiesced. Several distributor listings describe this unit as Make Before Break; Schneider's own product name says BBM, and that is the figure to plan against.
Rack and wall mounting. 2U in a rack at 432 mm wide and 89 mm high - but note the depth: 660 mm, considerably deeper than most 2U accessories, so check your cabinet's internal depth and rear clearance before ordering. At 11.36 kg it also needs proper support. Wall mounting brackets are supplied as an alternative.
What it does not do. Metering, a display, network management and surge protection are not provided. For load visibility add a metered rack PDU downstream - it has to be one this panel's C13 and C19 outlets can feed, such as the 16 A, C20-inlet AP8858, rather than a 32 A unit that expects its own IEC 60309 supply. For automatic transfer between two independent supplies rather than manual maintenance bypass, that is a Rack ATS such as the AP4424 - a different product for a different requirement.
